We paid to have 1 slider door and 3 windows installed, the employee that was sent out to finalize the job cut the threshold for the slider door too short and damaged it by trying to trim it on concrete thereby causing multiple scratches. I have contacted their office in Rockledge Florida multiple times regarding this issue, Edie has tried to be helpful but the managers have NEVER returned my calls and both of their voicemails are full so you cannot leave a message, this job was contracted over 1 year ago, we paid in full (which was a mistake) and just want the job completed to our satisfaction.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: It took Window World over 5 1/2 months for you to respond and because of this I will continue to advise everyone NOT to do business with yourcompany. I suggest you drastically improve communication with your customers and hire qualified installers so your customers (me) do not have to do a final install by themselves.
Again, I had to show your employee how to install the trims on the slider door and did not let the second person you sent install the threshold the first person damaged so that it was done properly. Your apology is meaningless since I basically worked for you for free. You offered NOTHING to compensate us for all of this, so we will do what I assume you would do in this situation and never do business with your company again, also I will inform as many people as possible about our experience and your pitiful/late response!

I am rejecting this response because: It took you over a year to respond? Wow, just wow. Your communication with a customers complaint took over a year! Again, I had to install trim as your employee didn't have a clue about how it should be done. Your response that took over a year is proof of how you DO NOT communicate with your customers in a timely matter. The same thing happens when calling your location. Endless, ignored voicemails that we have left, and now this. Seriously, why bother to respond at all. I still feel that I should be compensated financially for doing your job for you!

We ordered and paid half the total amount for 8 windows and three exterior doors back in June 2021. The windows and doors finally came in December 2021. As soon as the installers arrived onsite they realized one window was the wrong size. They wanted to stop the installation, I had to talk with the manager to get them going again. The windows and doors were installed, except for the one wrong one and that had to be re-ordered, so it took another six months. That came in May 2022 and installed, but was missing the required sticker, so billing permit inspection could not happen until that was received. BUT they asked for full payment on the windows/doors. I wrote them a check with the understanding from the install manager that the work would be completed. BIG MISTAKE on my part!!! Numerous calls to WW to try and get the sticker and then billing permit inspection finished so the finishing work on the windows/doors could be completed and we could remove the stickers from the windows/doors. Finally July 2022 received a call sticker was in. They provided that and inspection was scheduled. Town inspector found several issues with doors/window installation that did not impact inspection but he said WW needed to fix all those. I have been trying multiple calls with WW to get them to come out and complete the work. Once they sent someone who did not have the correct parts, he said they needed to be ordered. Then in mid August 2022 they were going to schedule another guy to come out and finish. He called the alloted morning and said he was on his way, I reminded him the work that needed to be completed and he said he did not have the parts for that work, so would not come. Again trying to call WW and no response after numerous calls and voicemails. If I had it all to do again, I WOULD NEVER HAVE ORDERED FROM WINDOW WORLD. This has been a horrible experience and I still do not have the completed work on my exterior doors to get them right. Need some assist to get my work done.Business Response

****** from Window World finally came out yesterday (****). He advised it looked like the installers over tightened the front door to the point of warping the door. We showed him using a garden hose how water comes right in through the front door. He thought that was because of the warping and bowing of the door now. He also looked at the patio door and said he believed a new frame would have to be put in to fix that door and more shims because it wasn't straight. They are supposed to get a game plan and call us today Sept 27th, 2022. This complaint and issues are not fixed please keep this complaint open.Business Response

I ordered a sliding glass door from Window World on March 23, 2022. I paid half the cost as a deposit and was told the wait time was around 10 weeks. When 10 weeks passed and I heard nothing from Window World regarding an update, I called the office. No one was available so I had to leave a message, which they at least got back to. They told me they couldn't give me any expected time frame for installation and tried shifting blame to their glass vendor. It's been over 5 months since I ordered my door and I have nothing to show for it except the missing ~$2k I spent on the deposit. Where is my door and when can I actually expect it to be installed? I ordered hurricane windows through Window World on 7-20-21. I paid over $10,000.00 down. I have finished paying them the balance of what I owed, which was over $20,000, based on the agreement when the windows were installed. They finally came out and installed the windows in March of 2022. I have since contacted them multiple times to no resolution to finish the job. The windows will not pass inspection because of multiple screws missing in each window. I paid for a sliding glass door screen that has not been installed. I have a scratched window that is supposed to be replaced, window locks that are the wrong color. When they installed the windows I had major damage done to my house that I have taken pictures of and shared with them. But still my phone calls go with no answers back. On 4-12-22 we paid $7,660.00 which was a 50% deposit for 13 impact windows, with 5 having colonial style. Our Sales person, Paul was a pretty good talker. Paul told us that another company Neighborhood Windows who had gave us a price quote was a horrible company, we shouldnt go with them, but go with Window World instead. He told us how great his company was. He promised these windows would be ordered and installed in 16 weeks or sooner. I was called on 8/10/22 to schedule the install. Install was scheduled for 8/12/22, arrival between 9-11am and whole house completed by 4pm. My husband took the day off to be here, and we have our whole house in disarray, no blinds on windows, etc. This was a no call/no show. I called the scheduler and was told they couldnt find my windows. I was told that I would be called back twice that day, with no call. I finally got a message on my phone that my colonial style windows are the ones they couldnt find. I was told on this message they could come and install what they had on Weds, 8/17/22. Without a word on the missing windows or even an apology. There is no customer service. And I have read other similar complaints and sounds like a horrible pattern on how this company does business. The company that Paul was slamming is actually A+ accredited. I wish I had looked into this earlier. Now do we put blinds back up? Who has time for wet dress rehearsals. We are living with our house in disarray and open for all eyes and who knows how long. I do not trust this company any further. Paul gave us a 20-24 week guarantee on job completion. Windows were ordered in April 2022, they did do a partial install on Sept 16, 2022.. 2 of the windows they installed were damaged and noted after they said they were done. One window came in the wrong size. We also had to ask them to clean up before leaving as they were going to leave the mess. Today is April 6, 2023 and I still am waiting on 3 windows (1 missing and 2 damaged). They have ordered one of the damaged windows 3 times yet what they receive is not what I ordered. I cannot get management to return my numerous calls. They finally made an appt to install the two windows they do have (1 missing and 1 damaged) twice two weeks ago that both ended up no call/no show. So in total they have done 3 no call/no shows, the first being in August 2022 and at that time I was told they couldnt find my windows (they lost my windows in 2 days). All 3 times my husband has had to take off of work, and remove blinds and a lot of prep work. So the last no call/no show appt, I decided to call the county permitting office. Come to find out Window World has let the permit expire. So they did not even have a permit yet were making appts to install that they never showed up for. I feel that Window World needs to pay my husbands salary for those 3 days he missed work. They need to get on the ball and get another permit and install my 3 windows they owe me. I believe they are doing these appts on purpose knowing they do not have a permit, or they are clueless as to their business. In either case, we deserve to be funded for their mistakes.I cannot get anyone to answer or return phone calls, and management ghosts me. Some windows do not or have ever had stickers on the windows, and they cannot seem to find time in over 3 months to do this so they can call for inspection. On Nov 23, 2021, we contracted with Window World for Impact Resistant windows and doors for our entire home. At that point we put $32, 584 as a down payment on the $62,332 job. We were told at that point our windows would be in in March. In March we were notified that our windows would be in around May. In June we were notified that they ordered the wrong windows. On 02/24/2021 I signed a contract with window world to provide customized acrylic sliding windows which also included 2 transom windows above each set of sliders. Also a sturdy entrance door to the lanai. I got the door first after more than 8 months of waiting to do the complete lanai. Then in March of 2022 I got everything accept the screening on the outside of the sliders and the largest transom window that is above 3 sets of sliding windows. I have called several times and my calls go unreturned. Then after writing them a letter telling them I would report them to the bbb they called and the head of the installation department gave me his telephone number. He promised to find out about the window and never got back to me. When you call his number his mail box is always full. If they send someone it's always a young person who does not have the right size screen or the window and can give no information. This has happened 2 times over the year and half. If I do get someone they say that the factory has moved to Sanford Fl. And they will check with the factory. There is never an answer as to the transom window. It's a mystery to me. I am getting the run around from Window world because all you ever get to speak to is a different receptionist each time you call. Also the other transom window they installed is not right. Please help me to find out when I am getting my lanai acrylic windows done? I can send a copy of my contract and also an incomplete form from window world.Business Response

I have a Window World installed window which developed a seal leakage that I reported to Window World in March of this year. The date of the transaction was August 31st 2021. I purchased windows for a Lanai and paid $6,229 down. A trainer named Jeff was teaching **************. Jeff showed up at 10 a.m. and the appointment wasn't until 1 p.m.. I proceeded to tell Jeff what I wanted. He left around noon to meet **** for lunch. They return it approximately 2 p.m. and **** had written up the contract. However **** had only worked for the company for approximately two weeks and this was his first contract for a lanai. I had specifically told Jeff that I wanted screens that could be removed at least three times. When going over the contract that **** had written up I specifically stated again the screens would be removable and Jeff stated yes. Window World has been here two separate times to install Windows however they did not have screens. The company States because I signed a contract that says replace all existing screens does not state they are removable this is my error. However, working with Jeff in ****'s absence for approximately two hours and then **** writing up the contract after only being employed for approximately two weeks and this being his first contract for a lanai and when going over the contract and **** and Jeff's presents I specifically asked again the screens would be removable in which Jeff said yes. It has been 10 months and after numerous calls to corporate and to the local Window World I would request Window World return my $6,229.Business Response

We ordered glass impact entry doors from Window World Rockledge, FL on August 20, 2021 with a promise of delivery 8 to 10 weeks after measurement, which occurred the following week. About 20 weeks later the doors were delivered and installed (1/09/2022). Inspection was delayed because of a cracked glass in one of the doors that needed to be replaced. They also delivered a door with scratched glass and a door with clear glass where we ordered one with blinds. Part of the insulation on a set of doors is missing. We were given a time estimate of 2 weeks for the replacement parts to be ready and installed. After several tries, we finally secured an installation appointment for 3/26/2022, but no one showed up or called. Calls were made and emails were sent by a salesperson to have someone call us to reschedule our installation. We made several calls and left several voice-mail messages including to the regional sales manager, none of which were returned. After almost a month of trying to speak to someone to get an installation appointment, we finally visited the Window World Rockledge, FL showroom and Edie was able to help us secure an appointment for 4/26/2022. The morning of the appointment, we were informed that the installer was not coming and told that someone would call to reschedule. No one called. We visited the Rockledge showroom again on 4/29/2022. Another internal email was sent. We are still trying to get an installation appointment to get this job finished. We now have someone to contact directly if we have problems with the installation or with scheduling our next appointment.
