      On Jan 30th 2024, Contractors on behalf of Window World of Melbourne came to install a sliding glass door and and window. It was a rough opening of concrete block units. When originally quoted for the install, the estimator failed to select the "bucking" costs. We agreed to pay the additional $103 per opening (there were two openings) for bucking (as depicted on original quote) plus an additional $100 for waterproofing to be completed by the contractors on site. At job completion we gave the contractors a final check which included the additional amount of $306 for bucking and waterproofing. Several days later when we realized that an item on our original quote had not been completed (detailed trim of $184), we requested a refund of that amount. Since then we have been up-charged an additional $60 for waterproofing and ****** at Window World fabricated an invoice after the fact to withhold that amount and only have agreed to refund us $124.

      Contract signed 9/24/21, promised 1-2 days to complete, We paid ****** already, total was to be ******. Hurricane windows and 2 sliding doors for full house. This job has been an absolute nightmare and i have typed up a letter with a full timeline. There was FINALLY an inspection in 11/2023 with over 6 trips out to fix and finish our job with each time more mistakes made, more damage to our purchased windows doors and even to our childrens wall with installation. We were promised over and over they would rectify it all and it stretched on and on. We are absolutely disgusted with how this has gone down, angry, exhausted, heartbroken, all of it. We missed 6 days of work total waiting for them over and over, and also missed out on homeowners insurance savings too over 20 months because of the botched job and work being finished delayed over and over.

      i had 10 impact windows installed January 2023. During the installation there was damage to my vinyl siding in 3 places. I called the company within 2 days of installation to ask that they repair this. I have been calling weekly and keep getting the same answer, we are working on it. In the meantime I was instructed to send pictures of the damage which I did in February. I was then asked to get name of siding and color which I did. Then I was told I would have to purchase a box of 24(of which they only needed 3 pieces) for a cost of around $400. I did this and it was placed in my driveway for them to install about May 5. I have called corporate in North Carolina to no avail. I initially spent over $10,000 for these windows. I am concerned the water from storms will get into the wood on my home and cause mold. I am at a loss as to what else to do.

      We signed a contract for window replacement 2/11/2022. First windows were installed in early July 2022, but not all windows were in stock. One more window was installed February 2023. When asked for payment, we told the installers we would pay when the rest of our windows were installed. February 24, president of Window World Brian T****** filed a lien against our property. We promptly went to the business and paid what was owed ($6489). There is still an outstanding balance of $9538, payable when the last of our windows are installed. We requested a release of lien once we paid the $6489, and were told the lien will remain until the rest is paid. They have not installed the remainder of our windows, so that money IS NOT owed to them yet. We would like the lien removed, and an answer as to when the rest of our windows will be installed.

      I purchased new hurricane impact windows from Window World, signed the contract in November 2021. Shipping delays caused it to push out to where I had to deploy out on an assignment for 12 months. I notified Window World and they rushed to get the install completed in April 2022. There were still parts missing, which I suspect they knew but wanted to collect my money anyways. I left Florida mid-April 2022 for the next year. They contacted me in July 2022 to let me know the missing parts had arrived and when could they come out and complete the install? I let that person know I wasn't going to be back until end of April 2023. I returned back home April 21, 2023 and have placed 6 phone calls, left messages, talked to people who said they would pass along the information to the installation team. Nothing has been done. No one has contacted me about completing the installation. It's been a month and I get no response from anyone in the company, including from the corporate location. FYI, they also owe me a refund of $900 as they misordered my original sliding glass doors (the size the ordered was too big) and those were more expensive than what needs to be installed.

      2/22 signed for replacement windows and doors Started calling for approx install date 5/22 Told waiting for some items again 6/22 7/22 8/22 finally got a date for install 9/22 1st installer shows up missing five windows and front door wrong size plus other items missing 2 weeks later installer 2 shows up to finish the job still missing 1 window front door still wrong size and other items still missing. Writes down what needs to finish the job that’s the end 9/22 paperwork says 3 to 6 weeks to get items 3/23 and finally get call to have missing items installed 3rd installer doesn’t show up took 4 days to talk to schedule installer 4 to finish the job Installer 4 shows up on 3/11/23 with a replacement sash and a window frame not nearly all the items needed to finish the job Items missing 1 bathroom window 4 window screens 3 door handles 2 panes of glass with shades in between glass for French doors and failure to fix 1 window that won’t stay open without something holding it open This project has been going on for over a year with no end in sight everything that should take weeks take months and dozens of calls for more delays and excuses I’m ready to cut my losses with this company because of all the wasted time

Now they say *** everytime I talk with them its same story but time keeps changing and goes on end on . If this date doesnt happen I guess Ill cut me my losses and end this mess and move on. So we will see what happens.

      We ordered new windows and doors from Window World in April of 2022. Were told it would be 16-20 weeks, which we were fine with. We then continued to have to call to try and get any updates, continually given delays and excuses. Finally beginning of Nov 2022, we were told everything was in stock and ready to install. Installers did decent job, but left nearly all screens damaged, 1 window shattered, and 1 6' sliding door shattered. I was told all corrections would be made in 6 weeks. Now we are 16 weeks later. I was told items were in and they were coming to fix. Showed up with 1 window, but still missing slider door and screen for it. Called and left messages with window world over 6 weeks time multiple times, finally receiving a call back only to be told the door isnt in stock yet and no time frame given. Edi in Space Coast office is the only person who returns calls, but unfortunately always tells me she cant even get ahold of the main office to get answers. The installer on site doing repairs could'nt get an answer from his own company. The Sanford/Orlando office has to be the worst run business I have ever dealt with. At this point, I just want the project finished as we are going on 1 year. And feel like I should be compensated with a discount based on how terrible the experience has been. I could never recommend this company to anyone.

      We received a quote from Window World for $9522. We purchased windows from this business and gave them a check for $6,374 dated 28-Feb-2022. The check cleared on 03-March-2022. Window World scheduled installation on June-2022, but the day of the installation, they called and let us know they could not locate 2 windows, so they cancelled the installation. After multiple calls, I was able to convince them to do a partial installation until they could locate the 2 missing windows. They finally installed the windows, but one of the windows was broken, one had the seal broken and 2 still could not be located. When I called and talked to the Product Specialist, she wasn’t helpful. On 23-NOV-2022, they schedule to install the defective windows and the missing ones. The installer came with a door, which we didn’t order, but they were able to replace one of the two defective windows. Then I started calling them weekly for an update and every time I called the Product Specialist told us the same thing: “All I can do is to put a notice in the system and I will call you back when I hear back”. But she never calls me back to provide an update. I have asked her to email me the contract and I have never received it. Finally, they scheduled to replace the defective window and the 2 missing windows on 20-Dec-2023. I took the day off work and was waiting for the installer. He finally called to let me know he could not locate the windows once again. He was very polite and he let me know that he would talk to the managers to order new windows since 2 of the windows have been missing for almost a year now and he told me that he was going to send me the paperwork for the new order. He didn’t send me anything and I kept following up with him weekly. On 03-FEB-2023, I received the following text message: “I wasn't able to locate your file, but I do have someone looking for it in the product on order bin I had to get out in the field for my stops today as soon as I get word on the update, I will be texting you with that information”. But I have not received any update. I called the office in Rockledge and spoke with the same Product Specialist and received the same answer that she was sending a message to the manager. I asked her for the managers number (Kevin) and she gave me his number. But of course no one answered and his voicemail was full. I also asked for the billing department phone number, I called and left a voicemail and no one has ever called me back. This is the worst costumer service I have ever experienced in my life.

      Shortly after Window World performed the installation of my doors and windows we noticed issues with the installation which was over two years ago. We have contacted Window World Several times regarding the issue we are having. Three times a service person came to the house and confirmed the issues. Each time the service person stated that they will order the product to make the fixes yet nothing has been resolved. The front door was installed incorrectly with light coming through the top and bottom. The installer put a none pane head screw in the door hinge which has bent making the door difficult to close. This has caused damage to the door as well as the adjacent French door which now has argon leaking. The incorrect color of hardware was installed as well. I was assured the correct hardware was ordered and will be installed. The door sweep of the door has come off as well letting bugs into the house. The sliding glass doors are missing screw covers and the felt strip does not run the entire height of the door. The sliders don't all have the same latch kit. The casing around the one of the sliders is coming off the exterior wall. after two years and multiple complaints filed with Window World if we dont get this resolved asap we will have no choice but to file legal action.

      Although the inspection by the county passed there are still issues that are faulty associated with the installation. 

      Front Door (French Doors)

      The incorrect s**** was used on the henges which has caused the hendge to bend. This is making the main door that opens collide with the one that remains closed. This makes it difficult to open for me and my children are now unable to use it. Further the door that is not the main door is now showing wear and the glass within it appears to be turning black. I assume this is an argon issue. The sweep for the main door that opens is damaged as well due to the non hendge side of the door colliding with the threshold. The incorrect handle was installed as well. (wrong Color) 

      Sliding Glass Door

      To close the sliding glass door you have to push on it towards the exterior of the house as it hits the framing of the slider preventing it from closing. There is also a piece of felt missing from this slider. Another slider casing is pulling away due to faulting nailing. All of the sliders screws are exposed and I was told someone would come and provide covering for them over a year ago. 

      Communications with Window World

      I spoke with the installation manager several times. He has guaranteed someone would be out to make repairs however I have yet to get on a schedule. I feel as if I was dismissed and Window World Does not stand behind their product. I have also spoken to the owner which he has also stated the installation was faulty and needs to be and will be fixed but again no one has reached out. The only way I speak to anyone there is if I call repeatedly. This is not a warranty issue but an installation failure.

      On January 7th, 2022, I signed the contract and paid Window World $15,845 to replace 12 windows and a sliding door in a "timely manner". It was until May 31st, 2022, they arrived with only part of the order; 9 windows and the door. It should be noted that 1 of the windows they replaced has a residue that won't come off; it either needs to be fixed or replaced. In total we are waiting on 4 windows. I was given an incompletion certificate and it states, "Due to manufacturing schedules it will take approximately three to six weeks to receive your reorder in our warehouse. Once we receive we will contact you to schedule a completion date". As of today, January 9th, 2023, I have not received a phone call to schedule a date. I have tried calling Window World myself to get an update, and all I get is excuse after excuse.
