I purchased Windows and screens from Window World and had my final installation and payment on June 24, 2022. I received a incompletion certificate promising me a screen that was missing in 6 weeks. After 6 weeks of getting no call and no screens I proceeded to call the service department. They would not return my phone calls. I was being ghosted. They sent me a link for a review I did a review on the company's lack of communication and their unwillingness to stand by their contract to get me the screen I paid for. A manager finally called me back. His name is ****. For weeks he promised me my screen. Sometime in a December a representative of Window World dropped off a screen on my front porch while we were at work. It was the wrong size. I called **** again to request a new screen that fit my window or my money back. It is now January and I still do not have a screen or my money back. I am frustrated and want what I paid for a new screen to fit my window the number for the product on my certificate of incompletion is s#*******-2.Initial Complaint

I have ordered 10 windows and a sliding glass door on March 9, 2022 with delivery and installation to be done in or around the end of June, beginning of July 2022. Window World could not give me a specific date at the time of order. Window World required some one to be available on the delivery date, which they could not provide. I actually live in NJ so I started to call Window World beginning in May to ascertain the delivery date so that I could make the 1200 mile trip to be there. The first problem that I had, and unfortunatley continue to have is no one from Window World would return my call, Finally, I successfully reached Richelle in June and set a delivery and installation date for July 12, 2022. The installers came and installed the windows. This leads to my current complaint. One of the windows was completely deffective and the sliding door was mysteriously missing, even though it was supposed to have been on the truck. A new date was set for the replacement of the window for September 19, 2022. However, only a portion of the window came into the warehouse so another order had to be made for the missing portion of the window. This order was not placed by Window World until September 27, 2022, eight days after they discovered that a portion of the window was missing. Also, at this time I was informed by David M***** that the missing sliding glass door was on back order and would not arrive until November, 2022. Richelle called me 11/22 and left me a message to arrange installation. I returned Richelle's call at least once a day from 11/22 until 11/28 as she did not return my calls. on 11/28 I reached her and an appointment was made to complete the work for 12/17/2022. No one showed up to complete the work. I have been calling Richelle today every hour since 8 AM this morning and it is now 1:30pm. Altogether I must have made close to 100 calls most which have not been returned. The cost of the project is around $13,000.Initial Complaint

We paid in full in October of 2021 for all new windows. Our windows were installed in March of 2022. One of the windows was broken,including missing a whole pane of glass, broken frame, etc. They had already pulled the old window out so had to install. I was told the replacement would be in in approx 6 weeks. It is December 2022 and despite multiple calls the new wi dow has Not been installed. Constantly getting the run around. The windows that were installed have issues and we were told they would address them when the new one came in. We have also not had our inspection from the city because of the broken window. This place is the worst and I would tell everyone buyer beware!! They do not do what they say they will nor do they follow up. I will now have to sue them or call a news organization to get resolution.Initial Complaint

Date I signed the contract and provided a 50% deposit: February 22, 2022. Another $5,000 was paid upon partial installation.The total amount of the contract is $18,000-$18,500... still waiting for final invoice.I order 11 windows and a front door. The company committed to provide the windows, front door, and installation.The nature of the dispute is it's been 10 months and only 6 of the windows have been successfully installed and the company is saying the remainder of the windows won't be installed until early next year. That will make it over 1 year since I signed a contract, paid thousands and thousands of dollars and still missing the installation of 5 windows.I have no confidence this company will complete the job. The only person I'm able to speak with is the person that answers the phone. Messages left for management to call me have not been returned.I don't see a contract or order number on the contract. Below is the review I provided on BBB and ******** modified due to length.I signed the contract for 11 windows and a front door on Feb 22, 2022. It's now 10 months later and only 6 of the 11 windows are installed. The remaining windows are due in late January so that will make this a 1 year long process. Why half the windows: 1 window was broken, 1 window was scratched, 1 window has a crooked frame and 2 windows were missing. Screen was also missing and some other issues.When the windows were installed back on Oct 5, I was told it would only be another 3-4 weeks to get the missing windows and then they could schedule installation. That was wrong. It's like starting the **************** again for windows - so 4-6 months. 3-4 weeks is for parts. But no one ever called me and told me that. Purchase date 3/16/22 $26,888 total windows and 2 sliding glass doors paid deposit and then entire balance due 9/8/22.One glass door was installed with glass cracked, sign off at install 9/8/23 noted glass door was not acceptable and needed replacement. 31 phone calls were made to window world from 9/8/22 to 12/8/22 and now being told install manager is no longer with them (*****) but that ***** had finally ordered a replacement door. Last call this week no one has returned my message or called to schedule the install of the replacement door. On January 22 we ordered new sliding glass doors from Window World and paid a deposit of $4,000. On April 6, they came and installed new doors but didn't complete the job, promising to return the next day. They didn't come back and what they installed was the wrong size and did not pass code inspection. On April 6, we paid them the remaining $4,000+ cost. Since then, we have had "stonewalling", excuses, and promises that were not kept. The framing and trim from our unfinished doors are still lying on our east porch facing ***********. Last Thursday, December 1, I sent them yet another email and on Friday, December 2 someone called and said that the glass for our new doors arrived at the factory but did not pass quality control inspection. He said he will call us when they are ready to come and install the new doors in the correct size. Every step in all this is well documented by my wife. We endured significant emotional stress during hurricane season, especially when *** and ****** were approaching. We were very lucky. We don't know what to do next but continue to be extremely frustrated. We wonder if this is something with which you can help us.Customer Answer

On 5/26/2022 I contracted with Window World Rockledge for 6 double hung windows and a sliding glass door, all with a fixed pane at the top. The total was originally $10,095, later adjusted to $9893 because of an error in the pricing that I frankly do not remember. I paid a deposit of $5236.98. I was told by the salesperson install was 16 to 18 weeks out. As I spent 40 years in business, I knew that was very flexible and I was okay with that.I was called on Sept. 1 that the slider was in, but none of the remaining windows and install had to be done all at one time. I understood and was fine with that. In late October I was told the install would happen Nov 4. That day arrived and the crew showed up on time. The install of the 6 windows, while difficult, went off well and the results are satisfactory. When it came to the slider, I noticed nothing was the right size. The fixed pane was too large and the slider was too short. The crew attempted the install with approximately 4 inches of shim.I pointed out this was unacceptable (not easy when customer and crew are not proficient in the same language, but we got it figured out. They wanted to leave it in place until the door could be reordered and wanted me to pay for part of the install that day. Neither of those options were okay with me. They took the door and fixed pane away, telling me someone would contact me the next day to remeasure.Here's where we are now. It has been one month since then. No one has called to schedule a remeasure. I have had 5 conversations with 3 people. Each time they are going to "get back to me". One person, **** said they have to first determine where the error was made. We know where--Window World. Their internal problems are not the customer's problem. First of all, they had the slider here in Rockledge for 9 weeks without anyone checking it against the order. Now, they have wasted 4 weeks where the door could have been reordered and on its way. We ordered new windows and provided a 50% deposit of $5733 on 21 March 2022. After months of waiting and little communication from WW. Even after repeated requests for updates with no response They finally called to schedule installation for 1 September 2022. The installer arrived and upon arrival he discovered that 10 out of 11 windows were the wrong size. They left and I contacted the installation manager. This began a several months long of me calling with the response being not sure if we are reorder the windows?? The few times I spoke to someone it was an administrative person with no authority. I had expressed my desire to cancel the order and get a refund for the deposit. The administration person said they would convey that request. I even called corporate and no one responded. I texted the installation manager and informed him I would like a refund. Finally I got in touch with a person who informed me that they reordered the windows but they would be available in January of 2023. I told him I didn't trust WW to install and wanted a refund. He said he would get back to me. After weeks of no response I was able to call and speak to a manager and I expressed my displeasure with the lack of communication and the desire for a refund. All he would say is "You signed the contract" I told him he was in breach of the contract for trying to deliver the wrong size windows as that is beyond reasonable delay. This is their job to measure and order the correct window. I have no desire to have them do any work on my home at this point.Initial Complaint

We ordered windows with Window World in October 2021. We were told windows would be installed in March of 2022. We heard nothing until May of 2022. At that time they did not have a complete order. They gave us the wrong screens, lost windows. They do not return phone calls and refuse to let you speak with management. We still can not get in contact with anyone to complete our order or installation.Business Response

We purchased Windows for this Company and it's been over a year and still have an open permit. They needed to replace one that they installed that has a crack. I have called week over week and no answers, no returned calls, if someone does call, they just say I'll call someone else to see where the replacement window is and if it was ordered. I have emails, call logs, screenshots etc of pure job abandonment. Its was $16,000 which they have paid in full but I have a broken window and an open permit on the house. I so upset and my dad who is older that lives on the house so as well. Please help. However, No one from Window world called to tell me about it and we still have one cracked window and none of the finishing ********. done.
