I took this program back in 2021 and I would not recommend it. This program is way to expensive for what they offer. Somehow I found myself in over 15k debt with this program, and everything I did with this program was online. The only thing they did was send me a computer but definitely wasn't worth 15k or anywhere near. I've been contacting financial aid office even left voice messages and no one reached back out to me. This course is self taught and in my opinion you do better looking for resources online for a reasonable cost and ******* for free. Hopefully this helps anyone who reads this because it would've helped me out years ago.

We'll definitely agree there are many ways to learn and we encourage everyone to explore those paths before they enroll. Some people are better learning on their own, some want to go the traditional higher ** route and get a degree, and some ne** a little structure and want to gain skills to help them get into the workplace quickly. For the folks that fall into the latter category, MyCC is a strong option, and has been for 16 years and ******+ graduates. We do have to say the "course being self taught" is not the case and is a bit contradictory. Our instructors lead the courses but also incorporate time for studying and learning on your own, just like any other learning environment. We wish you nothing but success finding the **ucational and career paths that work best for you. Have a nice weekend.

I am not nor have I ever been a student of MyCC. I am a very successful veteran of the IT industry and have worked for one of the largest software companies on the planet for 25 years. Since I began hearing ads for MyCC it has left a very bad impression. Why? Because these ads make it sound like it just isnt that big of a deal to become a successful IT person. That isnt the case. IT is a demanding ever changing complex industry. In my tenure in the industry the pace of change has dramatically increased and is continuing that trajectory. The very idea that it is commonly possible to get prepared for an IT career and become successful in a matter of 7 months (recent ad) is crazy. And perhaps that is why so many are rating MyCC so low here. IT is demanding. I left a 10 year career as a microbiologist/toxicologist because I was bored. I am definitely not bored in IT but at times I am overwhelmed. Maybe that will give some realistic perspective. I dont have any experience with MyCC but it sure seems geared toward getting a bunch of certifications. WAY long ago having certs was meaningful. I can tell you now that as I consider someone from a capability perspective I dont care a thing about whether they have certs. I care if they are smart, can be taught and have the mental game to deal with this industry. I dont know a single person hiring today that considers certs more than just a simple checkbox.

There's a lot to unpack here. Let's start with leaving a review of our school, without attending or having direct knowledge of our platforms and what we offer. Seems you've taken to this review site to comment about the IT industry as much as anything. We agree with you by the way...the IT industry is absolutely demanding and requires knowledge, willingness to learn, the drive to continue learning, and a solid understanding of the soft skills needed for success. That's why we offer learning platforms for every level of an IT professional's journey. Our flagship program that you reference above is designed to arm folks with the skills to break into the industry, then advance. More than ****** people have graduated from the program in the 15+ years we've been serving them, and in large part I believe they would agree we've helped them make positive changes in their lives. We also offer advanced learning options through our Cybersecurity Specialist, Cybersecurity Engineer, and our Associate's of Applied Science programs, which continue to grow in popularity. And lastly, we offer short course options directly targeting people currently working in the industry to advance their skills and continue learning. So I might respectfully argue that not fully understanding our platforms is skewing your opinion. It is far from easy to find success in IT, or in any industry for that matter, but as you know the folks who make the decision that failure isn't an option typically reach some lofty goals. If you're ever interested in learning about what we offer, please connect anytime. We wish you nothing but continued success, ******. Have a nice evening.

Feels strange that we have to say this isn't true...and mentioning anyone's religious beliefs in a review is frankly out of line. We'll be asking the BBB to review this comment for that reason.

This isn't correct, it's filled with points that are bordering on unhinged, and we can absolutely say none of this is accurate. Zero. Also, not sure how the race of anyone is relevant in a comment here, or anywhere. We believe reviews, both positive and negative, are important as they make us better, but this doesn't even come close to that category. We'll be asking the BBB to review these comments.

This place really helps people get an education that is tough to get. They care about their students before, during and way after they graduate. The instructors are great and staff from top to bottom are just awesome. People who give bad reviews have no idea about this school or anything about it. I love this school. I have seen it ordinal help so many people have great careers in the IT field. Do not hesitate to apply!

There are sure a lot of people wanting everything handed to them on here. The school and their curriculum are fine but you do have to study and want a change in your life. I have earned several certifications with their guidance. I have one more to go at this time (sec+) and will be graduating in roughly 3 weeks. It's not easy especially when you work full time and in the middle of a divorce but I did it.

**************. Thanks for taking the time to leave your thoughts here. And you absolutely nailed it, you take out of the program exactly what you put in...and students and grads like you who get that tend to thrive. Keep grinding on those certs and congrats on nearing the finish line. You've got this!

This is about as close to being a scam without technically being one. Complete garbage. ********************** or precious time.If I could give My Computer Career negative stars then I would.

It doesn't sound like there's much we can do here to change your thoughts, even though we certainly disagree. Whether you agree or not, I promise you we are always here to help both students and grads alike, and I would urge you to stay connected with the ****** Services team. If you're in the process of looking for a job, or a new job, they are some of the best in the business and want to see you succeed. As always, we wish you the best in your personal and professional lives.

After reading all the posts and responses from MyCC, it just reiterates how awful and criminal they are. I have sooo many "horror" stories. But I am not going to waste my time here typing it all out. I am a veteran and used those benefits....they love that money!!! But after my experiences, I took it to the VA and a Senator. The process of pulling funding is in the works.. Veterans, use the benefits you deserve elsewhere until the VA pulls them off the accepted list of schools......!!!!!!!! On top of that, I have first hand insight from employees that use to work there when I enrolled and they can corroborate the nightmare. Now watch.....MyCC will come back with a way to act like they care but telling you to shove it in a nice way bc that is who they are.

      MyComputerCareer

      Date: 03/24/2023

Hi, ******...sometimes it's difficult to respond to a review like this as I don't see your name or you record in our system. But if you did attend MyCC, it sounds like your experience was very outside of the norm. *****, and unfortunately, unsubstantiated claims about funding and employees is also difficult to directly address as well. What we can say is every student that comes through our doors is part of this family and is provided with every opportunity for success. It's why we're here and it's why our employees come to work every day. If students are willing to put in the necessary work to get through the programs, they will excel...as more than ****** students could attest to since we opened our doors more than 15 years ago. The comment about being awful and criminal is unfair, and obviously untrue, and we would never address anyone in the negative way you suggest above. We truly hope you find success in the very near future.

Let's see if this gets a response since everyone I talked to was so helpless and clueless about how to resolve this issue. ITSA/CSS graduate here, you most certainly do not take complaints seriously. I spoke to a campus director after having filed multiple complaints, and all he had was a mouthful of excuses, stated he had never seen an instructor teach a full course in seven years, and that sixty hours of dead air in the CSS course was expected. That is garbage. Then he tried to plead ignorance, then stated they did have a student file a formal complaint. Pick a lie, stick to it. The instructor was combative, belittling of students and made zero effort to work with students to ensure they understood the material. By the end, everyone stopped trying. I was constantly bombarded with how these certificates are career making, and after eight months I have had one call back for a three month temp job that wasn't even temp to hire. Five applications a day, for eight months equates to one call back? I didn't even get that job, so it definitely is not helping me start any kind of career. No one discusses that most jobs do require programming language knowledge, enough to script, respectable experience operating endpoint protection, some enterprise environment experience and some experience in how to disseminate that knowledge up the chain. No one discusses that the ITSA program goes from full course, full time instruction (which I did not find to be terrible, just not terribly useful) to trash quality degradation in the CSS course. To a finer point, the instructor was mocking that students reported him over how awful his class was. He knows they have spineless leadership that won't do anything, and felt free to point that out. Feel free to feel offended, I'm beyond disgusted with how this institution has operated. Your operations department must be some kind of circus retirement home for clowns to be so disorganized and out of touch. Do not enroll here.

Hi, *******. Would like to lead with kudos on completing two challenging and potentially life changing programs. It takes some real discipline to accomplish this task. But, I’m sure you understand the other points left above require a more direct response. The recap regarding your discussion with your campus director seems very out of the ordinary and leans towards inflammatory. Of course our instructors at every level teach a full course. Of course there isn’t 60 hours of dead air. And of course our instructors are not combative or belittling towards students. They are, in fact, some of the best in the business…and if any of what you mentioned was the case, the instructor would be immediately removed. But I do hear what you’re saying about the job market. There are many IT positions available and you are one of many qualified candidates. I will, however, disagree with you regarding employers requiring programming knowledge, etc. You absolutely can break into the industry and advance without this experience, or any experience, and we’ve helped thousands of students do so over the last 15 years. I’m certainly hearing your frustration but would encourage you to reconnect with the Career Services team. I promise they will help you land a gig that works for you, but it’s a team effort. Lastly, your comment about leadership is untrue and unnecessary. However the chips fall I wish you nothing but the best both personally and professionally.
