    Like many have already noted, I sent a book to be scanned into a document. I paid extra fees to have the "rush" service of three to five business days. On April 10, I received an email saying that my book had been received and would be scanned shortly. In the meantime, I have received nothing. I have sent a few emails and left a voicemail, with no response at all. I am now on a very tight deadline and need to have this document completed or need to know if I have to hire another service. I am surprised by the complete lack of communication.

    I paid Blue Leaf Scanning to have my a book Dreamland scanned in to searchable PDF. I confirmed they received the book via ************ as well as received email confirmation from the business. I called multiple times, left one voicemail and have written three emails without a response for the business. I would like my book returned to me.

    As with the prior complaints, I paid for scanning services and received confirmation on Nov 28, 2024. I sent my father autobiography in as requested. Since then I have had no contact and no response to my many phone calls and e-mail messages.

    The book for this order was received on 12/9.  On 12/19 we received 2 emails requesting an update.

    On 12/20 we sent an email containing the files for his order.  Since we delivered the files we felt no other contact was necessary.

    We did not here again until 11:58 today (1/7/25).  Before we could investigate and respond the client decide to file a complaint with BBB.

    We contacted the customer and forwarded the original email containing the link.

    I did receive (finally) a response from *** ******** at Blue Leaf.  He sent my order back by e-mail on 12/20 but he sent it to an incorrect e-mail address.  That's strange since the confirmation I got when I placed the order was received with the correct e-mail.

    Blue Leaf Book Scanning sells a service where you send them physical books through the postal mail, they scan the books and provide digital files, and then the send the physical books back to you by postal mail. I placed an order On October 6 for $159.48 to have two books scanned non-destructively and returned to me. It is now more than two months later and I have still not received my books back. I called multiple times but the calls always went to voicemail. I left several voicemails but never heard back. I sent multiple emails and never heard back about any of them. I filled out the form on the website but never heard back after that either. I even signed up for *****, which I don't use, just so I could contact them by Skype but I haven't heard back from them on Skype either. This company has absolutely horrible communication and customer service. The website explicitly states that return postage (for the books to be returned) is free (or included in the advertised price). The return service is an essential component of the contract between us. The books I sent are valuable and I need to get them back. The issue is not with the delivery of the scans but the fact that I have not received my books back.

    At the same time that I contacted your agency, I also filed a complaint with the **************************************** An agent from that office contacted Blue Leaf Book Scanning. Blue Leaf Book Scanning ignored the original contact, but when the agent reached out a second time, Blue Leaf Book Scanning did respond and at the same time they sent my books back to me. So in the end, after two inquiries by the **********************************, and more than three months late, I did receive my books back. I did receive the scan also so my order is complete.

    I tried to reach out several times by email and by phone to the company to determine the status of my order and never heard anything from them. I submitted my non-destructive scanning order on Sept 14, 2024 and received confirmation on Sept 18, 2024. I left at least 2 voicemails and sent emails on Oct 14 and Oct 18, 2024 asking for a status update of my order. Having not received a response, I then asked to skip the order and simply return the book with no response.This book has no value for you, but for my family it is the only copy my great aunt put together before passing that contain photos of her and my Uncles family history. We have no access to the original photos and because she has passed these will be lost. The companys email indicates the orders would be completed within 12 business days of receipt. Its been over a month and with no response I want to report the company to the BBB and City Attorney for false advertising and fraudulent business. I only hope my book is returned.

    I wanted to thank the Better Business Bureaus office for all your help and assistance in this complaint!!!  Because of your help, I was contacted by the owner of the company by email and he returned my family book with a refund.  I am so grateful to your office for all your help and your prompt actions.  This book is so meaningful to my family and I again am so thankful to you for all the help from your office.

    I purchased a scanning order from vendor. I mailed them a book as well as receipt of payment and received acknowledgement that the service would be completed in 5-9 days. I have never received my scan. I have contacted the business a few times and received no reply back. To date I have not received anything.

    On September 27th, 2024 I paid Blue Leaf Scanning $78.56 through ****** (see attached receipts) for non-destructive book scanning of a single book with 288 pages in color. I then shipped the book to Blue Leaf Scanning via USPS Priority Mail (tracking #**********************). The book was delivered to Blue Leaf Scanning on September 30th, 2024 (see attached tracking). I received an email from Blue Leaf Scanning on October 1st, 2024 stating that the book was received (see attached email). The email stated that the book scanning should complete within 8-12 business days, which would mean finishing the job between October 10-16. I never heard back from Blue Leaf Book scanning. I have tried using the "contact us" form on the Blue Leaf book scanning website 10 days ago inquiring to my order and never got a response. I tried directly emailing Blue Leaf book scanning yesterday and received no response. I tried calling Blue Leaf book scanning multiple times over the last few days, and left a voicemail, but received no response. This book is a family heirloom and it would be an extremely huge sentimental loss to not get the book back. I ordered non-destructive book scanning so that the book would be returned in addition to receiving a downloadable PDF of the book. I have not received the downloadable PDF, and I have not received the book back.

    On October 1st 2024 I ordered two books to be scanned (rush) in a non-destructive way for $218.78. I received one download link on Oct. 21st for one of the two books but not the other. I tried to call, wrote emails and left several voice messages but have not gotten any reply whatsoever. These books are my father in laws and I need to get them back to him. I want to get the download link for the second book as well as the physical copies returned to me.

    On September 29th, I paid Blue Leaf Scanning $101.29 through ****** to scan my son's history textbook into pdf format (this was so his reading app could read it aloud to help him study, as he has a learning disorder). I was not sent an itemized receipt for this payment, but I know that most of it was for the number of pages in the book, and $35-40 was a Rush Order charge, in order to get the finished product, which was supposed to be a file containing the pdf copy of the book, attached to an email, in 3-5 business days. The 3-5 business days didn't start until I shipped them the book (through ******), which they acknowledged receiving on October 3rd (email attached). This email also confirmed the 3-5 business day turnaround time, which would've had the file arriving on 10/10 at the latest. When that didn't occur, I checked my spam folder carefully and repeatedly, and it wasn't there. I gave it a day or so, then looked for the email with the scanned file again, to no avail. I sent a message through the Contact Us form on *********'s website and received no response. I called, and, since it says on the recording to send an email with questions regarding orders, I did that. No response. I left voicemail messages, sent repeated emails, and received no response. I know they can respond to messages because, before paying Blue Leaf and shipping them the book, I asked through their Contact Us form if it was permissible to scan a textbook and received the reply that it was. I would either like my money back or the completed pdf file. If it's the latter, it would have to be in the very immediate future, or it will be pointless, as the semester ends in about 7 weeks. I have attached my initial inquiry about the textbook and Blue Leaf's emails acknowledging receipt of my payment and the textbook for scanning, as well as the ****** email receipt.

    The complaint is resolved. Apparently, when Blue Leaf saw that I’d filed a complaint, or perhaps noticed a negative review I wrote, it finally got their attention and they emailed me the link. They even refunded my Rush fee when I asked.

    On July 7, 2024 I made an order with these people to scan my non-destructive book. They received the book on July 11, 2024 & promised me a quick turnaround. I did not receive any communication from them after that until August 10, 2024 when they delivered the *** copy of my ******* scanning the ***, I noticed that a page was missing. I informed them of this through their eMail. As of today, August 29, 2024, I have not received ANY indication that they will fix the ********** addition, on August 10, 2024 they assured me that I they would return my book back to me shortly (typically within 4 - 8 business days).It is now August 29, ********************************************************* any kind of communication from them about it's status.I have attached the August 10, *************************************************************** any way.

    The Blue Leaf Book Scanning eventually did return my original document and it was in good shape. However, I informed them that when they scanned the book into a PDF file, they left out an important page. They never did address that issue.

     

    It was very frustrating working with them because they would not address any of my concerns. They would tell me when the product would be ready, but they never met the schedule they established.

     

    My biggest concern is their failure to communicate. Their automated phone number would direct you to send an eMail. And they would never respond to the eMail. It was very frustrating.

     

    Thank you for following up on this. My end goal on this is to get them to understand that they need to communicate with the customer better. I do not know if I accomplished that because, as far as I know, they have never even responded to the complaint I filed with the BBB.
