Little Dumpsters intermittently misses pickups despite the trash being presented in the provided container, being ready for pickup as requested the night before pickup, being paid in advance (1 year) through my HOA, and several previous reports of issues to Little Dumpsters from me, other members of the community and my HOA who holds the contract with Little Dumpsters. Little Dumpsters often fails to respond to phone calls or emails and no proactive communication is given for missed pickups so remedy for services not rendered is often not possible. The address listed here with the BBB is an open field with food truck parking lots and no physical location can be found for this 'business' to complain in person. When trash is not picked up, I expect to be contacted about the miss, or to be able to access customer service support to remedy the situation. I also expect a real physical address for legitimate businesses to be readily accessible and published in places like the BBB, the Yellow Pages or ****** Maps. I have made complaints via my HOA and participated in group sessions hosted by our HOA with Little Dumpsters where several residents shared issues with missed pickups and failure to respond to customer service requests where the owner of this company promised to respond to customers and make changes necessary to provide consistent service. I'm formalizing my complaint here because yet again, my trash is not picked up, and I am unable to raise any response from Little Dumpsters via phone or their website. I have paid my bill through ******************************************** responses from this company when they fail to render services agreed to and paid for in advance. I am hopeful that the BBB will have better luck getting responses from this company than my community or I have.Business Response

On numerous occasions, little dumpsters has not picked up my trash or recycling. At least 8 times I would say. Its always blamed on something else but then. I have heard oh we forgot, it wasnt in the computer, well we couldnt come by. When I said someone needs to come get the recycling since you all didnt get it yesterday, she says we cant do that. She blames and says the truck was probably filled. I told her nice since all my neighbors got theirs picked up and I live in the middle of the block. She says just save it for next time. I asked where am I suppose to put it, she scuffs and says in something else. I told her I dont have anything else. Then tell me when I said to cancel it that she is going to charge me $48 to pick up the bins. I said no. She says well it says you will be. I said and it says you will pick up my trash and recycling. She said she would charge me more if the bins are not emptied yet they didnt come and empty them. Their customer service is non existent. They blame everyone but themselves. The bins are thrown around. They always will block your driveway too.Business Response

Our notes from the previous owner show 1 missed pick-up due to the can being locked and 1 other missed pick-up that we sent a truck back to pick up the missed trash. This customer was not charged a removal fee. Recently, we have undergone a new management change and with this, we are focusing on improvement in all of these areas. I prepaid for October through December 2022 trash pickup on 9/18/22 $61.60. Payment cleared 9/19/22. Just moved to a new address on 10/1/22 - first pickup was scheduled for Monday 10/10/22. They did not show up. I called their office ************ on 10/10/22 twice and left two messages. They called back and said dispatch had passed by but didn't pick up and that they would be back out Tuesday 10/11/22 to pick up. They never showed and I called again Tuesday night and they said they couldn't pick it up and promised it would be picked up on Wednesday. It wasn't picked up on Wednesday so I called again and was told they work 7 am to 7 pm and give them time to pick it up. I called Wednesday night and cancelled our service since they are unable to provide services agreed to and asked for refund of the prepaid amount for October through December 2022 and they said they don't give refunds. I expect to receive a refund since they are not providing the service I paid for. At our old address, they picked up one time on 10/4/22 for this billing period so I expect that they should prorate out that one pickup and refund me for the prepaid amount less that one pickup. I had problems getting Little Dumpsters to pick up at my old address in late September as well and called their office numerous times just to get them to show up. My customer number at the old address is **********. ******************** did not provide my customer number at the new address but did take payment.Business Response

I paid Little Dumpsters $540 on 9/11/22 for a Dumpster scheduled to be delivered 9/12/22. They were a no-show and did not deliver promised dumpster. I only had equipment to move debris into dumpster on 9/12 and was now required to either extend the rental or get a new rental. We opted to get a new rental, scheduled for 9/15/22 and asked them to proceed with the dumpster delivery. They delivered the dumpster 9/13/22 with a scheduled pickup date of 9/17/22 (It's a three-day rental, beginning the day after delivery). We proceeded to rent new equipment costing approximately $450 ($355 for rental + $100 delivery fee) for delivery on 9/15/22. On the morning of 9/15/22, I received a confirmation that they had picked up the empty dumpster that was supposed to be picked up on 9/17/22, leaving me with an unnecessary equipment rental as well as labor standing around with nothing to do for the second time in a row. I have spent hours on the phone trying to organize equipment deliveries and reschedule the dumpster delivery. The time, stress, and money spent on this is unbelievable. The manager has promised to call me back for 3 days now with no follow-through. I have text threads and recordings of phone calls to validate.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because it doesn't help me recoup thousands of dollars in loss because of their inability to provide better customer service prior to January 2023. What I would like is for little dumpsters to cover the cost of a machinery rental and additional dumpsters we had to rent when they failed to show up/ when they took our dumpster early. Thank you

Little Dumpsters has continuly not picked up the resindential trash as contracted to do. The last time it happened in august. I sent a cancellation notice on 8/28 with a 30 day notice. Called on 8/30/22 to confirm. Last pick up will on 9/30. Cancellation effective 10/1/22 which is when the new billing cycle begins. I am paid through September. On Friday 9/9/22 they picked up my neighbors and drove by not picking up our trash. I searched for them and found them around the corner only a couple blocks away, they refused to go back. It wasn't on their tablet they say. I followed them for several minutes with words being exchanged. I went home and called them. They said I had cancelled effective immediately. My email was clear cancellation was effective 10/1/22. ***** the unskilled manager said that I refused to pay the container pick up fee so they cancelled effective immediately. When I called on the 30th I was told about the fee but I replied that was not in my contract. Nothing was said about the an immediate cancellation. She refused to have them come back. A shouting match followed. I asked for documentation thy could produce none. They cancelled without any reason on their own as retaliation. My neighbors have had the same issues over and over. Not picking up the trash poses a severe health issue and there should be penalties for that. Also gives the apperance of intentional fraud. I'll notify the ************************* to alert them of my concerns.Business Response

According to the previous owner's notes, we missed one pick-up that was picked up at the end of the week. On 06/07 the customer requested to cancel, then officially was canceled on 06/29. On 07/05 the customer requested to be reinstated and was charged a $25 delivery fee for the cans. Looking back our team did find his request email to cancel services for a second time. His service was canceled on 09/02 to terminate services on 10/01. The customer was refunded for the whole month, and the trash was picked up and the can was removed for free. This business doesn't pick up our recycling trash. We pay for this service and they just don't show up to pick it up. Whenever we get a call back from the business after calling them about them missing our recycling trash, they tell us that they are coming the next day but, again, they don't show up. We get letters from our HOA to not leave the trash out for more than one day but this is impossible because of this business.Business Response

Little Dumpsters has not fulfilled the contract in regard to picking up my trash and recycling as agreed and paid for. This company has continued to not pick up trash/recycle on scheduled days and fails to communicate effectively or properly as to the issues of why services are not being fulfilled. The excuse has been that they do not have enough CDL drivers, yet they have known they have issues with not having enough drivers and that this could impact services. The only communication that is sent is the next day or late the night of the trash/recycle pickup day. When I called in to discuss these issues, I was treated in a rude, unprofessional, disrespectful way and made to feel bad as a customer. I was called names and told "don't come at me bro". The customer service manager, ******* continued this same unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful attitude when I spoke with her. She stated she was proud of the behavior of the customer service agents even after I explained their behavior. The agents were laughing hysterically when they answered the phone on speaker phone, did not state their name or offer a professional phone greeting and then got upset when I stated the rudeness of their conduct. ******* was very proud of this behavior. I am rejecting this response because: look how long it took to get this extremely weak response to the issues stated. The service is still terrible as well as the customer service. This company is a joke and should not exist at all. Nothing has or will change. What was offered was a joke and nobody apologized for their actions and they do not care. Signed up for residential trash and recycling 5/31/2022. Promised 2 bins NLT 6/3/2022, first services (trash and recycle) 6/4/2022. No bins. No service. (2 neighbors, existing customers, did not receive service either, until trash only on 6/7.) I called company phone number 6/3, 6/4 and 6/6. Got voice message, "please leave a message; we will return your call." No return of call. Called again 6/7 and 6/8. Got message both times, "mailbox is full; cannot accept new messages." (At that point contacted Republic to start trash service.) I have never heard from Little Dumpsters, nor have I received any service, but there was a $156 charge on my credit card 6/12/2022, by Roll Off Solutions, same phone number. (DBA Little Dumpster?) Called again 6/12; voice mail said leave message. I have disputed the Roll Off Solutions charge with ***** It has opened a complaint and started an investigation. People need to be aware of this company charging for services not rendered. It at best has serious operations problems.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. Our records indicate that ****** did have service disruption as he indicated in his complaint. During this period we were experiencing labor issues and that definitely impacted service in his area. I have reached out to ****** was credited the proper amount for services not rendered. We sincerely apologize for any delays in his service, and we are aware of any inconvenience this has caused. Since this complaint, we are now fully staffed and in a far better position from a driver perspective.
