5 starsIt looked like my PC was full of malware. Numerous popups covered the screen and claimed that my PC was locked; to call Windows Defender support or they would cancel my Windows. It sounded fishy, so I called Tech Support. Best decision I ever made. I had the good fortune to work with 2 tech support agents, Joan and then Camille. Both were knowledgable, helpful, supportive, competent and a pleasure to talk to. In a reasonable amount of time, the situation was cleared up and Camille gave me a complete description of what happened. Thank you so much.Review fromAkhtar P

1 starI bought this software because I had to re-download my windows package and everything else on my windows 10 system due to serious file corruption. Everything on the computer was mixed up, it was a mess. I bought one program first & returned it quickly for not doing a thing to correct my computer problems. Next I bought & used The Obit System Mechanic, and it was miraculous! It straightened out the entire system on my computer. It corrected the file structure, removed the garbage, organized the files, replaced missing hardware, it just took care of everything! I was blown away at how great it worked. From then on I was a believer in System Mechanic! Now, this program has become part of my "yearly buys" for computer software to keep my system running smoothly.Review fromBrian M

My current subscription to IOLO system defense ran out. In trying to renew, NO online process is available and was directed to call in. The call center is a scam processing center in Mumbai India where the only product available was a 3 year contract at 347 per year. Thats a far cry from the 37 dollar 1 year product I was trying to buy. I have had this product on my computer for over 3 years and was happy with it but if this is the direction the company has taken it they will run it into the ground . I WILL NOT RESUBSCRIBE to this service and advise others not to as well. In installation It removes the windows security that cannot be reacquired. You have to add in an aftermarket security.

RealDefense does not operate any voice-based call centers in India. Unfortunately, many people fall victim to these unsolicited, spam renewal emails. Rest assured, the emails you received are not from IOLO as can be seen from the "sender" email address. Any email from IOLO would come from iolo.com. You received emails from fake email addresses from @gmail.com which can be obtained for free by anyone. You can also see the phone number doesn't match any phone number on any of our websites. Clearly, this is a scam trying to trick you to give your personal information. I can confirm you can renew your software yearly. Please call XXX-XXX-XXXX to renew your annual subscription. We had a 1 year contract with this company, doing business under the name of U.S. Tech Support, in order to have help with spam and other issues with our laptop. About the beginning of May 2022, we contacted them and told them to cancel our contract and that we did NOT want to renew. Today, we received another invoice for their services indicating that WE had initiated the order for their services on a monthly basis. THIS IS NOT TRUE! I called U.S. Tech Support and asked if this was a scam email or from them only to find out that our contract was NOT canceled last month as I was told it was. Hopefully it was canceled today as I did receive an email to that affect. We have used the IOLA System Mechanic for several years with no issues but this branch of IOLA seems to be less trustworthy - which is the opposite of what one expects from a software protection service!RealDefense LLC

I was very disappointed in support from this company. I paid $21.08 for their service which showed on my computer as a trial (not paid). I called with some support issues & was told a tech would call me back, which never happened. I tried using their product and it didn't fix my issues. I called again & stated that I wanted to cancel my account & have my money refunded. After the representative tried to keep my business, I insisted on cancellation and a refund. The rep. said that he needed to get approval from a supervisor & would get back to me. It never happened. I want to file a complaint & receive a full refund.RealDefense LLC
