I closed my account after 6months, and the only reason I’ve waited that long was to get my 400$ they promised when I opened my account, which I never got. I don’t understand why ****** has business with them. *** **********

      Worst bank I have dealt with, staff are mot familiar with their guidelines and answer questions based on guesswork. Spoke to 4 people, each gave a different answer and conflicting information

      Customer service agents are not very polite, not helpful nor knowledgeable. If they don't feel like helping, they just transfer to someone else without explaining the issue to their colleagues, so after another 45min wait, I had to restart everything. I called 4 times about different issues : same experience every single time. The response I've heard after HOURS of waiting and explaining : we cannot help you. Cherry on a sundae : today the agent just hung up on me because she was unable to solve the problem I was facing. Oh how I miss Capital One Costco card!!!!!!! Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.

      The credit card department needs to get their ***************. Called to get a new card due to fraudulent purchases and it has taken a whole month and still no credit card. Multiple calls to multiple different representatives to keep saying their sorry and "it's never happened before".

      I am at present, a loyal customer of CIBC.
      I have two **** cards, one of which doesn't get used.
      I have been trying to cancel the unused card for over 6 weeks now.
      3 separate phone calls where I waited on line for 4 hours each. ( I just put the phone to ******* and waited ) ( wondering if I should ask for recompense for my time and data? )
      If I were a conspiracy theorist I would say that they are purposely obstructing this action in order to keep customers in the system. ( proof is that if you call the new/upgrade services office they answer in seconds ;) ) hmmm
      I have submitted official complaints on two separate occasions, still with no resolution. *************************************************************** *************************************************************** *********************************************************

      All I can say is this is how not to run a business. Its by far the worst customer service I have ever witness.. And sadly all I needed was to reset a password, its been over a month now with no online access and been nothing except a run around by CSRs at CIBC..I took my business to *** in the city I work in , and what a difference in customer service. I can now see why there's so many complaints with CIBC. ****** has decided to use this financial institution to over see their credit card, from my view ****** will see a reduction in their business as well from this questionable move. I discussed the poor service I had with a co worker with CIBC and ironically they have had the same issue, and suggested I look on this site to see the complaints. Now I can see the common complaints.

      *********************************** I have been with this bank over 15 years until now, and always have issues. Too many experiences; from trying to pay off a LOC, to depositing sales of assets into the account, to having them "update my accounts" to losing overdraft protection - they said was an accident, to never providing it back" to request information on a debit that they made randomly, and asking them to reverse a double fee charge for instance. They are the WORST BANK TO PUT YOUR MONEY IN. I have moved banks now, and determined to let all my clients, friends and family members know of the poor customer service and operations. I see by the other comments I am not alone. Go to....ANY OTHER BANK. ****************************** I feel like the silly one for paying them banking fees for 15 years.
