      CIBC Business Account Opening – Took 2 Months! A Nightmare Experience I’ve never experienced such terrible service as I did with CIBC while trying to open a business account. What should have been a simple process in December 2024 turned into a nightmare that lasted two months. After visiting a branch and being told everything had to be done over the phone, I spent hours on hold and was promised follow-ups that never came. I clearly explained the urgency of my situation, needing to make a deposit to my supplier in China, but CIBC ignored my request. They said they would prioritize my case, but nothing happened. I called many times and each time, I was given empty apologies and told that my issue had been passed on. Weeks passed, and still nothing was done. I was given no clear timeline or any help, and my business was getting delayed because of their mistakes. The lack of communication and action was unbelievable. After over two months of nothing, my case was finally addressed on February 10, 2025. By then, I had already lost all trust in CIBC and moved my business accounts to another bank that actually knows how to take care of customers. To make matters worse, the same business account that CIBC couldn’t open in two months was opened by another bank in just 1-2 hours. CIBC’s complete failure to do their job, their disregard for my time, and their lack of urgency is unacceptable. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but I will never trust or recommend CIBC again. I’ve already moved all my accounts to a bank that values its customers. ** *** **** ***** **** **** *** ********* ** *** ***** ** **** ***** Their service is awful, and they couldn’t care less about your needs.

      CIBC Sunridge ******** ********* *** ****** ******** *********. The beanch manager will **** *** call security or law enforcement if you question their accountability. I had a ****** earlier in the year which caused me to miss my mortgage renewal. That should have been a minor problem as the contract states the terms could be modified at ANY time as it was an open term. Muhammad S. was evasive for over 2months after meeting with me in June 2024 to advise of the renewal options. Upon desperation after receiving numerous notices, I went to the branch to see what I could do with or without her advisor. The branch manager accompanied the meeting and when muhammad was asked by us *** *** *** ******** about his absence etc. the manager interrupted him from answering and began to **** when advised how my finances & credit have been affected. The ******* in the meeting was alarming but the manager exited immediately so we did try to continue with muhammad. As we talked the manager returned and began to tell again, this time at muhammad instructing him not correspond or answer any of our questions As we entered the main area of the branch the manager returned to ******* and did not de-escalate until police spoke with her. Upon their arrival she continued ** **** *** ******* *** ********* ************* Police advised me I couldn’t complete the transaction that day and to return another time. The manager made ******** efforts to make it difficult to impossible for me to make payments and modify the mortgage terms. This was strategy to ***** foreclosure proceedings. **** ******** **** ** ** ****** ********* ***** ****** ********* *** ** ***** *** ***** *** ***** *** ******* ******* ** * ******* **** ******* *********** That meeting never occurred, it was a strategy to ********* cause delay as they initiated foreclosure proceedings. I am now forced to take them to court for litigation because they refused to solve amicably according to the contract and my rights

      I opened a RRSP gic on July 10 and was supposed to get a statement for November. I had mail option for this set. Sure enough with ****** **** strike which started on November 11, my statement was nowhere to be found. Called in to CIBC and was told they could not say when exactly the statement was mailed and that a digital copy could not be issued. I am in the middle of a property purchase and stuck with broker asking for the statement.       Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Try and reach someone on the phone and you are on hold for hours. Ridiculous.       Keeps changing the credit card activation instructions. Now it's scanning QR code, sign in and/or register. How do you expect a senior know how to do this? Not everyone is tech-savvy to do this. You should be assisting your customer with activation, not asking the senior's relatives or friends to assist. **** ******* ****** *** ******** ***** ***** This is your responsibility.

      I don't recommend CIBC ** *** *** ******** ** ****e customer service is bad and their GLOBAL MONEY TRANSFER ** ****. I'm waiting for my transfer since May 24 and it wasn't transferred till today June 5, 2024. I called them on May 29, Jun 1 and Jun 3 and June 5 and every time this asking me new information and telling me it will take 10 business days to be processed. This is big problem by CIBC. ********** ***

      CIBC just lost my business. Once I get my money, RRSP for financial hardship, I’m closing all accounts. I’m so disappointed. They used to be awesome. I never had a problem until now. I have worked with Rani (clearbrook Branch now) for years. Now it seems like I don’t matter. I’ve been with them for over 30 years. What was supposed to be a 2 week wait turned into a 4-5 week wait and I’m still waiting. I think I’m 9 weeks now. A few days before my vacation week 5, Rani tells me I have 3 documents to sign and get notarized. She just found out. She didn’t know. Then I send them to Rani she tells me she’ll keep me posted. It’s been over 2 weeks and I haven’t heard from Rani. I would think she would have gone back weekly to question the delay and send me an update but I’ve yet to hear anything.

      * ******** ************ * ***** *** ****** ****** ** ** ******** **** **** ******** I did business with them 15 years, when I couldn’t get them to give me a mortgage rate same as their competitors, I had to leave, ****** **** **** ******* ******* ***** ***** ***** They reported a none payment on my mortgage to credit bureau even though my mortgage was on a process of transfer. They made the transfer process very difficult. My credit score lowered by 50 points as the result. **** **** **** **** *****

      Cibc bank ** **** ********* their programs don’t work well at all. the manager who has been helping me for 5 months is really trying to help me, for which I am very grateful to her, this is the person who really works and does her job 200%, but I can’t get my money, my ********** money is stuck in the bank, which they don’t have the right to keep it in the bank, there are always reasons that the programs do not work, **** ** **** ***** *** ***** * ****** ***** ********* ** ** ***** ***** *** **** **** *** **** **** ** *** where to go to ask for help is not known.

      Requested a new card. It arrived, set the new pin online. And it told me I need to go to the ATM. I did, the ATM captured my card and did not return. I called CIBC to cancel the card and they said they are not giving my $67 cash back. I am not working with CIBC again.
