I requested a quote for window replacement; they didn't respond in a timely manner, and things changed, so I postponed the project and I told them so. I get calls, sometimes twice a day from them, I asked to be removed from their call list (verbally by phone, by e-mail, and now via text since they texted me). I told them in the e-mail that I would file complaints with the **** and the *** since I'm on the do not call list, 20 minutes later, I get the text from them. So I filed the complaints. I do not recommend even talking to this business as they wont leave you alone.

This is the 4th way of letting Paramount Builders, Inc to stop calling me. Let's see if they stop, or if they are willing to pay a fine of ******* per call in accordance with current federal law.

The sales consultant gave us a thorough explanation of what we would be getting in the form of a new bathtub made from premium materials including replacement of old copper plumbing. She took photos of our current bathtub for size. When given the initial estimate for costs it was an insane amount, so she called her VP and we got a discount which was still an exorbitant amount but we figured if the materials were great and the installation included replacement of plumbing it could be worth it. She told us we could finance with no interest, etc. So we accepted. Sales consultant said contractors would come by to take exact measurements of the bathtub space, but they never did. When I texted/called to ask about taking measurements the sales consultant and VP both assured me it was not necessary and the photos were sufficient. On install day the bathtub was too wide. Installers tried to compensate by widening the wall of the bathroom, however, this made the bathroom look unacceptable. To their credit, they ordered the correct size tub and came back and installed it. This new tub, however, seemed to be made of very thin plastic not the premium materials that were sold to us during the sales discussion. When I put weight on the side it flexes. The shelves in the tub are merely affixed to the wall with no screws, so I'm not sure they will last very long. The install was left very shoddy looking, caulking was unprofessional and messy, certain areas of the wall were not spackled. This experience was not in any way worth the high cost. In addition, there are finance charges on the loan that automatically come out every month. It seems to me like we were deceived in the financing of the project. It was my mistake trusting and not reading the fine details of the agreement. I've tried to be as clear and honest in this review as possible. I would not use VAShower&Bath again nor would I suggest their services to others.

In response to this customers review the following is submitted based on an internal review of the project. The project originally called for, in the scope of work that was agreed to as follows:
Installation of a new bathtub/shower system utilizing a 60" wide x 32" deep tub. The project planning rep in charge of the project provided measurements and photos of the measuring tape with the depth for the tub. Based on the photos and the measurements called for by the project planning rep. I should point out that the design rep usually does tell the customer that if needed we will send a technician back to double check the measurements. In this case it was believed that the measurements were sufficient and the project was ordered.
On the day of installation it was discovered that the 32" deep tub was 2 inches deeper than the wall it rested against. The install team immediately alerted the homeowner of the issue and offered to either build out the adjoin wall to accommodate the deeper bath tub, or we would have to order a new tub. After serious thought and consideration they elected to go ahead with the tub we had on hand, and to build out the wall as needed.
Regarding the plumbing, any plumbing that is related to connecting the customers plumbing to the water supply and drainage lines are included in the project. There were several issues with the customers' existing plumbing, and they alerted the installers to this because it had been leaking around the drain prior to us doing their project. Although the existing plumbing for the supply lines and drain were in place, they had been installed incorrectly previously which added time to the project for our install team to address and correct. The customer was not charged anything additional for the additional time it took to complete this.
After completion of the project the customer did request a site visit which was conducted and it was determined that they were simply not happy with the way the wall build out came out, and it was decided that we would replace the tub with the correct size. A new tub was ordered. The second tub is the same make and model as the originally installed unit, only at a **** depth versus ***** A punch list was done with the customer and completed. The customer finalized the project and signed a Customer Survey, which is required by all customers. On it he stated the concerns that had come up during the project - "Sales rep said contractor would take measurements, but they never did. I spoke with VP on the phone and was told sales reps measurements were sufficient. Bath tub was wider than the wall. Production crew adapted appropriately, but I wish measurements would have been done because now the moved wall looks odd compared to the other rooms. Production crew were fantastic and professional".
All financing on this project was approved by a third-party lender. The lender has very plainly written descriptions of each of the finance plans made available. The customer actually has to approve the financing they are selecting and go through a series of questions and approvals while securing the financing approval from the lender. Additionally, we did not receive a down payment or any sort of consideration prior to this job.
The customer received an additional discount for the inconvenience created by having to install the bath tub unit twice.
At no time prior to receiving this review from the customer did they mention any concerns with the financing arrangements for the job. The plan selected by the customer is reviewed at the time of the agreement, and it is plainly written for them to understand what the requirements are for the plan. The plan list out the interest rate, term of the loan, the estimated payment, how long the approval for the loan is open and the plan number. The customer has to initial and sign for reviewing this information. I am not sure what else could have been done to disclose the conditions of the financial agreement.

My experience with Virginia Shower and Bath was one of the WORST I HAVE EVER HAD concerning an in-home contracted service. It was a literal months-long ordeal from the original close of sale, to the install of the shower to the multiple trips to fix problems related to the installation at a great inconvenience to me. Time and space won't allow me to go into all of the details of my frustration, but suffice it to say nearly every person I spoke with from Tyler ********* all the way down to the person who answered the phone failed to live up to their promises, broke their commitments, did not follow-up and generally left me feeling de-valued as a customer. I say "nearly" to be fair, as the last person who worked to assist me (I believe his name was Michael) had recently transitioned into the role of field foreman/general manager and actually kept his word and worked diligently to finally resolve my issues. In spite of Michael's effortswhich I do appreciateI will NEVER do business with this company again, as my entire end-to-end experience has been completely unsatisfactory.

After confirming with all VASB employees involved in this matter, it seems as though the original shower door ordered was not fitting properly, so a replacement needed to be ordered. On the second attempt, Mr. **** did not like the look of the door that was ordered. Again, VASB came back and reordered him a door for a 3rd attempt. Customer was notified that shipping delays are out of the control of VASB. I apologize for any miscommunication and delays that may have occurred along the journey. We appreciate Mr. ******* business and ensured his approval of the job to completion.
