subpar video camera and when it stopped working they charged me to fix it - then it stopped working AGAIN about 2 weeks later and they charged me to fix it AGAIN. I then told them that it wasn't sending me the proper notifications and they told me I needed to ****** it because if someone helped me figure it out they would have to charge me again. I consider this HORRIBLE customer service. I could get a ring doorbell that works better for a quarter of the cost.Alarm.com Inc

Just to clarify, here at Alarm.com, we don't actually charge for support. It sounds like these charges may have come from your service provider. You may want to touch base with them about this.

How did they get an A+ rating with nothing but terrible reviews ? We had a good security company until we installed cameras and they made us do everything through this horrible app. Now sensors go off all the time for no reason, the cameras are low resolution even though they cost a fortune and the monitoring fee practically doubled. YOU CANNOT CALL OR REACH ANYONE AT THIS COMPANY. Yet my entire security system I way overpaid for is run through it. I did not choose to have my security run through a bleeping app. My cameras have been down for weeks because I changed Internet providers and the only way to reset them is by getting on a ladder and manually resetting each one. Thats ridiculous !! I hate every single thing about this app except for being able to see my video feeds remotely.. when the cameras are working.Alarm.com Inc

Bought a new house and it came with an IQ panel. I DO NOT use it for security just to automate my thermostat and open doors. Now that my 3 years is up they want me to pay a subscription for something that should just be free. I do not need alarm monitoring. I already paid for the doorbell, garage door, and door lock I should not have to PAY MORE just to change the thermostat from my phone. Just another company trying to make everything a subscription to bleed more money from people.Alarm.com Inc

Would not recommend the service. They aren't very helpful and tell you that you need to get in contact with the local provider who installed the device. If you have an issue with the devices, or billing you will likely have to call 2-3 phone numbers and then be transferred to different departments. It's a headache and there are better/easier companies to use. Also be careful of any service agreement you sign. Their sales reps have poor ethics and don't have any issue lying.Alarm.com Inc

Had a Alarm.com Video Doorbell installed in April 2024. Occasionally, cannot connect to the doorbell through our alarm app. Called our alarm company that installed it. They said there was no warranty on the doorbell, but they would be happy to come out to check and bill us for it. ??Alarm.com Inc

Deceptive! all companies that manage thier systems, Vector, Brinks, Guardian Protection and H and S tech group attempt to up sale when not needed. Each company attempts to replace equipment when not required and the monitoring verifies greatly. I was paying $39. per month for service. Service cost shot up to $79 with a 3 year contract. Prior to I was month to month. If I can't find something reasonable then I am going to simplisafe or similarAlarm.com Inc

Moved in in June 2023. Had the system installed and everything worked until Oct. Then the doorbell camera would not connect. I tried everything. I called Alarm.com and they tried everything. Said that the doorbell was probably defective, but it was out of warranty. After much discussion they said that they would replace the doorbell for free. BUT it would be an $80 service call. I sad to just send me the doorbell and I would replace it (it is one screw) they said no they needed the service call. What good is a doorbell camera if the camera doesn't work. The best thing is that they are installing these systems in the new development (still building) and yet no one can stop by and install the doorbell. It must be a separate call.
