I moved into my home 2 weeks ago. Dustin Croom came by to offer *** security systems. I was told that there would be NO other charges other than the $69 monthly monitoring fees. I was told installation and equipment was waived and that I would not be paying for anything other than monitoring. I agreed because it sounded like a good deal, once everything was installed I was roped into paying for the equipment even though i was specifically told it was waived. When I tried to contact Dustin, I was sent to one of his marketing people to explain how everything works. I told him that everything was waived according to Dustin and yet I was still being charged. Ultimately I was lied to about the price of the service and want a refund.Initial Complaint

In July 2022, Dustin C**** (owner of the business) came to my home to sign my up for *** security system. All equipment and service was done fine. January 23, 2023, Dustin contacts me to update my system to ****** and remove ***. He was to handle the cancellation fees etc. The equipment was replaced and service with ****** began. Now, I have had bills for both *** and ******. I contacted the company multiple times and was promised resolution and a refund for the *** charges ($65.35 per month). No refund was ever sent to me which is 3 months of $65.35 each month. I have had my last contact with him via text and call today with no response. *** is going to charge me $1674 to cancel service (even though I had not had equipment or service since January). I want my refund and the $1674 for cancellation. I did nothing wrong except trust someone. I also want others to know what happened so they don’t get taken for their hard earned money like I did.Initial Complaint

We have a different security system when the CEO Dustin C**** knocked on our door and said he can do buy out which means he will pay for our contract on the other security system. He said he will mail us the check within 30 days. He was friendly and so good and really convinced us. Everything was good until when I asked when is the check coming. So the first time he said he sent the check was June 30. Didn't received it. He said sent one again the next week, still nothing. We were very patient he said he'll send someone to hand deliver it last week but nobody came. I even told him I can pickup the check. He promised He will deliver this Monday. Didn't show up! Now all my text messages and calls are not being answered. So right now, we are paying for two sexurity systems. I just realized that these people are a fraud. They'll tell you all the nice things just to make you sign uoBusiness Response

Around Sep 14, 21, we did our security system with Mr. Dustin C**** of Home Security Automation Consultant LLC with the understanding that they will buy out our security contract with SHS. I spoke to Dustin via text on Oct 6, 21 and on Oct 7, he texted back asking me to mail the SHS final bill to him. I emailed it to him. I reached out to him again on Oct 21, 21, and he said they were mailing a check on the next day. I texted again on Oct 22, 21 and Dustin said the check was mailed that am and that they settled for a little under the amount of SHS settlement that I sent. I texted Dustin again on Nov 4 and he said that they literally finally sent him over the final and the check was going out today. On Nov 22, 21, I texted again and told them I am still paying two security bill and he said he understood and that they negotiated my buyout even more and sent a check out this am. I asked for a confirmation and he promised to send it. I did not receive it and I reached out again on Nov 30, 21 and Dustin said that he sent the check last week. I texted several times in Dec, Jan 22 and beyond and they stopped taking my text and calls.Business Response

All buyouts go through me and customers are instructed via no email a time of install to email me written communication (final bill, etc) from the other company. I signed up with this company and they promised us that they would give our cancellation fee with our other company that they would pay. We did our part and they will not pay what they told us! We have contacted even ADT and they said they would get them to pay and after three months still no money back. They have said twice that the check is in mail twice! We don't live in a rural area and it it never came ! They We never got a contract but if we try and cancel they make us up hold our side! They have given us a bad name with people and their companies that whole contacts. Especially if they don't live up to their side! Do not sign up with this company!Business Response

Please feel free to verify with her that we have spoken and made this arrangement. She also has my personal cell and we have been in communication regarding this issue.
