I met him at an art fair in April of 2022, they did not have the style I wanted in my size, but said they could custom make some, and ship them to me within 6 weeks. I paid $170. After 2.5 months I sent a message as I had not heard from them, nor received the shoes. He said that he had cut his finger and was not able to make them yet, but would be sending them soon. One month later, I had still not received the shoes, I reached out again. He said he had sent them but they must have gotten lost in the mail. I asked if he could tell me the address to make sure, or send me the shipping confirmation, or any proof he had sent them. I received no response. I sent several messages, and finally received a response, saying he does not know how they were lost in the mail, but will send me a new pair "ASAP", just to re-send the address. I did but received no confirmation. After 1.5 months, and several messages, he finally answered (at this time in the story it is now mid July) saying he is having issues with the leather supplier but will send them that Friday. I asked for updates, if they had indeed been shipped, if he had a confirmation number, etc. and received no response. I still did not receive the shoes. This last April I started a new email chain, stating I still had not received the shoes, nor any responses to any messages. He apologized and said he would send the shoes right away. I did actually receive shoes this time, just yesterday. The shoes sent however are the wrong size (sent a size 39 when I ordered a 41- also it appeared that he attempted to scratch of the 39 on the bottom of the shoe), wrong color (I had taken a reference photo when we originally talked in person, and resent it whenever he asked) , and wrong style (I had ordered a combat style boot, and he sent me a heel). Throughout this process I also asked if he would rather give me a refund several times, and was ignored.
