My car was illegally towed by this company 5.22.22. When I wanted to pick it up, the owner was very rude, he demanded notary letter to release the vehicle. I did get it from local notary and it cost me $150. I told the company on the phone they're complete Rip OFF. Then company rep started cursing and yelling at me and stated "you have to get your a$$ here and get it yourself". All the paperwork that company requested was provided the same day, however company rejected to release my own car because their "company owner was feeling depressed and left home early". Company decided to lock my car on purpose just to "teach me a lesson". I had to go back home, uber cost $122.66 Because this company illegally hold and charged storage fees for my vehicle for 3 days I am demanding billing adjustment reimbursement $300 ($100 per each day I was illegally charged), $150 notary letter the company demanded and then rejected for no reason, + uber $122.66. Total $572.66 can be send in the form of check to my home address

THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION WAS TOWED BY THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE FOR A HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT ON THE PA TURNPIKE. THE VEHICLE HAD HIT THE GAS PUMP AREA OF THE ALLENTOWN SERVICE PLAZA AND HAD A MAJOR OIL LEAK. IT WAS LEFT ON SCENE AND WHOEVER WAS DRIVING LEFT THE AREA. WE WERE REQUESTED TO REMOVE THE VEHICLE, CLEAN UP THE OIL LEAK AND IMPOUND IT AT OUR FACILITY. THE TROOPER PUT THE VEHICLE ON POLICE HOLD TIL HE NOTIFIES US. THE OWNER HAD CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS INSTRUCTED EVERYTIME TO CALL THE TROOPER. WE NORMALLY DO ALLOW A NOTORIZED LETTER FOR PICKUP, BUT HE KEPT REFUSING TO DO SO. AT THAT POINT I DID NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE CONTINUING WITHOUT MAKING SURE THE REGISTERED OWNER WAS INDEED PRESENT FOR THE PICKUP THEMSELF. HE WAS INSTRUCTED OF THAT AND DECIDED A COUPLE HOURS LATER TO CALL BACK AND STATE HE JUST RAN AND GOT THE NOTORIZED LETTER. I INFORMED HIM ONCE AGAIN THAT HE WOULD NEED TO BE PRESENT TO GET THE VEHICLE AS I WAS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THE SITUATION. HE CONTACTED THE STATE POLICE AND THE CORPORAL CALLED ME TO VERIFY WHAT WAS GOING ON. I EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND THE CORPORAL AGREED TO HAVE HIM PICK IT UP IN PERSON AND HE NOTIFIED THE OWNER OF THAT AS WELL. THE OWNER CALLED AND TRIED PLEADING AGAIN AND I INFORMED HIM THIS WAS THE ONLY WAY IT WAS GOING TO BE HANDLED. THIS SITUATION WAS BROUGHT ON BY A HIT AND RUN AND HIS IGNORANT ACTIONS ON THE PHONE. I WILL NOT REIMBURSE ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY TO HIM FOR THIS.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
Business  decided to upcharge me because as they said “insurance is going to pay for it”. I am concerned because it’s me who’s paying for service
Secondly, business refused to release the vehicle against their own rules with all documents provided. They upcharge me for multiple extra days, just to “teach a lesson”. This is not normal and it will NOT be tolerated!

I demand the refund in the amount stated initially.

    Regards,
