I was referred to Advanced Recovery Corp by a local plumbing company when I was seeking to have our sewer line scoped from the house to the street. They came out immediately, offering a free inspection. When they arrived they immediately went under the house, which confused me. After a few minutes he came up and announced that there was no leakage, but evidence of rats. We already knew about the rats and had hired a service. Then after a few more minutes they announced that there was a serious leak in our cast iron sewer line in the crawl space. They proposed extensive/expensive remediation and bragged about their ability to use a tame plumber to get my insurance company to pay for it. In addition they wrote a "just between us" estimate for what they claimed would be one-half of what they would charge the insurance company. It became apparent that they were not plumbers at all, and did not have the capacity to scope our line - my original goal. After thinking about it overnight I canceled the 50% down check, contacted another plumber who came out and told us the smell we were experiencing is a decomposing rat, and there is no leak in the sewer line. He did scope the sewer line out the the street and gave us a report on it. Advanced Recovery Corp was scamming us. BEWARE.
