    I tried to register a domain with them because their reputation was good. Once I got through the payment their system was going through the registration process then spit back an error saying the registration was canceled and refunded me. I could not try again as it said the domain was now already taken. I checked whois and it said thedomain was now in the registration process. Porkbun support said it was "ongoing registry maintenance", and the next day the domain was fully registered.Porkbun WILL claim your domains for themselves if they want it.

    Porkbun is hosting phishing sites that are using valid information to contact buyers for the purpose of getting them involved with a scam. I received an email posing as a merchant I had recently purchased from. The email address was spoofed. After checking the actual address, it was some convoluted conglomeration of characters, and not the merchant I had purchased from. There were several links which were all directed to a site hosted by Prokbun. Porkbun was hosting the scam payload. This is common for unethical site hosts, as it makes them money.
