Canceled course, 400+ email requests, support ticket cancellation requests (3) and direct phone conversation requests including getting the runaround verbally and over email with regards to them issuing me $800 refund. They keep claiming they are resolving the issue and then days and weeks ago by and they ignore every email request for a refund while I had requested though 5 different emails directly to people and they literally have stolen money at this point. *** complaint is next and a police reportBusiness Response

We paid this company 8k for training for my employees back in May or June (2024) and still have not received services. Today is November 13, 2024. We have been back an forth with them since then and still nothing. All I get is more excuses from them (when they respond). Now they're telling me that it is non-refundable, but won't schedule a time for us to use their services.Business Response

We really want to deliver this training for the customer, we have asked to deliver this but not heard back. If the customer can send over some preferred dates then we will fulfil this, thank you.Initial Complaint

On 09/26/24, I inquired about a class with The Knowledge Academy. I received a call back. I was instantly transferred to a woman named ******** ******. I explained to her that I wanted to take a self-paced course. I also explained to her that I would need the payment link sent to my agency to pay. She then informed me that a payment plan could be setup. I asked her if my agency wouldn't pay for the class, would I be able to cancel the class, and if the payment plan could be cancelled. She assured me that she could cancel it. Furthermore she did not inform me that self-paced classes are non-refundable. She further did not go over any policies or terms associated with signing up for the course. I asked her three times if she would be able to cancel both the class and the payment plan, and she told me yes, yes, you can-her exact words. She was adamant about walking me through the registration process. She then told me that I could use Affirm for the payment plant (not realizing that Affirm was a loan); she did not make it clear that I was opening up a loan. I asked her again if this payment plan could be canceled; she assured me that it would be on their end.The very next day, when I learned that funding wasn't available, I emailed her and the initial guy I spoke to *** *****, informing them that my agency wouldn't provide funding until the new year. ******** ****** never responded. Then I received an email from ********* *. asking why I wanted a refund. I told her that I was not able to get funding for training until the new year. Her response was, "Do you have written documentation between myself and ******** stating that a refund would be issued?" I responded back via email (all of which I have) that I did not. I am now responsible for a loan that I was not aware was the "payment plan." They now have 1600 dollars from ****** and expect me to pay it back to their company. They have not cancelled the contract after several failed attempts.Business Response

They told me my self study class comes with the exam fee already paid for, that I had a year to complete it and once I completed the online class, I only needed to request the exam. I made the request August 26th they told me I had to complete it within 30 days of purchase. Once that was escalated, they said they made a mistake and today they sent me an email saying I had to attend another class in the ** before I am allowed to take the exam. From the very beginning, they keep putting it off and making excuses on why Im not allowed to take the exam. I want a full refund at this point. I would not have bought the class if I couldnt take the exam and if I was told up front that they would make it so painful to just request the exam, I wouldnt have agreed to it. Today is September 2nd and I still am not allowed to take the exam. I have a help desk ticket open for this and zero resolution. Excuse after excuse. Part of the requirement to take the ***** exam is to attend a short instructor led session. We are happy to release the exam however the customer must attend the instructor led session first. There is availability to attend US based sessions, the customer does not need to attend a session in any other timezone.Initial Complaint

i first made contact with this company towards the end of last year and the reps name was ***********************.He reached out to me, and after countless phone calls, discussions, and everything in between, paid for via affirm plus, instructor-led course, and the ability to keep taking the exam till I pass with the vouchers and a 100 PERCENT PASS GUARANTEE, which I asked and he explained that if I didn't pass on the first attempt they would pay till I passed. which is a lie.The instructor was a lady who just read off a PowerPoint in the dark bedroom without actually teaching the course! She used old wired iPhone earphones that went in and out during the duration of the teaching, meaning we only caught a couple of words in each sentence. That was no help whatsoever because when we FINALLY got access to Knowledge Academys back office, that was weeks! After the actual course took place. I took the 8hrs 2 weeks back to back course in February and due to barely catching on to anything, not getting my login even to know how to access the info till another 2 weeks after being done with the course, had to teach myself using multiple resources including PMI study hall that has a price tag of 50$ every couple months (since login wasnt even provided to follow with the instructor). I took the exam a couple weeks ago and failed it.I reached out to them for a retake voucher, and **** only contacted me back twice. The first time, he asked me to write an email so he could use it for another exam voucher. Why tell people they can take the exam as much as it takes to pass if thats not true? This whole thing has been extremely unpleasant, to say the least, as Im always having to chase down someone to get what I paid for / what Im promised!I asked for a partial refund months ago, but they ignored it. Now that I'm having to pay for resources and the exam again, I'm requesting a full refund.they made promises that are all lies and I am requesting a full refundCustomer Answer

At this time, I have been contacted directly by The Knowledge Academy Inc. regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
they reached out to me and pretty much have been doing a good job of just ignoring what my issue is. For a while, the rep that i dealth with is now hiding behind the gentleman thats sending me emails now. initially he wanted me to write him a letter that he can use to show to someone else that what he promised was never carried out but now hes just nowhere to be found. I need this issue to be solved as it seems like they have been doing similar things to others in the past and my dealings with these organization has cost me quite abit financially.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

On June 6th, I visited the Knowledge Academy website to enroll in a SAFe Agile Product Owner/Product Manager certification training to gain a credential sought after by employers in my field, after being laid off. I found the course and attempted to enroll online but found the site directed me to a form to complete to be contacted by an agent. The site did not list any dates for the course. The agent called me to solicit information from me to book the training. Her name was *********************. She stated that courses were held on Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday. I stated that Thursday/Friday would work best for me. She sent me a pasted table with 6 pt. font with a schedule. None of the dates were Thursday/Friday. When she inquired which date I wanted, I told her none of the dates would work for me. She asked me what dates would work for me and I stated Thursday June 13th and Friday June 14th. She put me on hold to check if it was possible to hold a class on those dates, stating their class sizes were 3-5 people. She came back and said that date would work and asked for my credit card info. I stated I did not want to give the info over the phone so she sent me a registration link with the price she quoted ($500). I completed the registration using Amazon Pay for the transaction. I received a payment confirmation from her, but it did not include the training date. I then received an email to create a password for the site. She indicated I would be able to update the training date, should something come up, using those credentials. I then received a booking confirmation with a June 8/9 training date. I have a previous commitment as stated, but was unable to change the date using my credentials. I entered a service ticket with a request to change to a published date (June 19/20) if the other dates were not going to be honored. None of the phone numbers on the site or in the emails work which is suspicious. I have sent emails requesting refund.Business Response

Purchased project management training course for a specific day. The first meeting the instructor changed the start time. As a result I was unable to commit to the new changes and requested a refund. The company has neglected to address this issue from Dec. 2023. They have neglected to contact me to resolve. I am requesting a full refund.Business Response

I received a call on February 23 while my 3 month old baby was sleeping in my lap. I spoke with a representative and attempted to get more information for the *** class they had advertised. The representative was very difficult to understand and did not explain the information correctly, sent me to another outside party for payment information (which I was unable to give because I didn't have my card information available at the time).Once I had read the schedule it was not as I expected and I requested to have the class canceled, rather they confirmed my class for dates that I never approved. This last week (Mar 18) I followed up with emails and calls to customer service (which were never answered) to again get out of the class due to the impossible schedule (it will never be possible). I have filed complaints and dispute with both companies (The Knowledge Academy and Affirm).I have a stellar credit score and have issue with paying for a service that was never rendered. Again, my schedule will not allow me to take this course at any time - the advertisement was "as little as 1 hour per day", but the course is four 8-hour days on zoom - which I only found out AFTER reviewing the schedule, but not being told that upfront (false advertising).Customer Answer

In fact, they havenot contacted me at all, but their third party payment system Affirm is still charging me. I am refusing to pay because the services were never rendered. I did not take the class even after repeatedly requesting to be removed due to unability to meet the schedule.

Signed up for a training class to be certified and class was cancelled and was not rescheduled until 3 months later. Was not informed about the class cancellation until the day the class was to begin. Immediately requested a refund. Received an email stating that I would get a refund. 2 weeks later and I still have not received a refund. Tried calling and emailing and am blocked from all communication with the company. This place is a total fraud and scam.Business Response
