    Predatory company that sells you something, and then changes the name of the product in order to force you to buy it again if you want to keep using it.

    You sold lifetime updates, and then changed the name of the product so that you would no longer have to honor that agreement. That is a fact. Nobody forced you to do that. I will revise my statement:********* company that sells you something and then, after taking your money, changes the name of the product so that they can claim they no longer have to give you what you bought.I invite you to honor the original agreement of free lifetime updates that I paid for and prove me wrong.

    I have the same complaints as everyone else with the former "lifetime" product. MY issue is a bid different though... Now my account seems to have an issue were they lifetime product code wont even work. Support told me they were looking into it 5/16/24 and now have gone dark. And will no longer respond to emails.

    They sold me a lifetime playon desktop account. Then they discontinued playon and rebranded an nearly identical program called Playon Home. Now they want me to subscribe to a yearly fee. They claim that the lifetime is only for the lifetime of the product. Not the purchaser. Now somehow the desktop version is no longer working even on older computers. They updated/disabled/broke it. That is Terrible. Playon still has a nearly identical product. Give me that product or refund my money. Lifetime warranties and subscriptions do not refer to the lifetime of the product or else nobody could ever use a lifetime warranty. Plus software does not have a life. It is not alive. This was cheap way for the company to steal from it's older customers.

    Hello,This is simply incorrect. We never updated/disabled/broke PlayOn Desktop. We simply stopped developing and maintaining it. In other words, we STOPPED providing updates to it when we discontinued the product and stopped selling it around the time Windows 11 was released.Regards,PlayOn Support
