I contacted G7 about repairing a central control module (CCM) for my 2003 ****. They indicated this was something they felt that they could repair. I sent the part and a check in the amount of $525 for the repairs. G7 said at the time if it could not be repaired they would refund the amount. When my local **** dealer installed the CCM, they determined it still was not functioning. I immediately informed G7 via a text of the continuing problem. Please note that all communications with G7 is done via text. G7 responded back that there was probably a latent defect and they did not feel there was anything more that they could do. I was told a refund check was issued on November 20th and another on December 20th but nether checks have ever been received.Business Response

On 8/30/24, G7 Computers confirmed Order No. ****** (#*********) in an email to ****************** stating a cost of $525.00, showing a payment method of ***** ********** ending in **** of $525.00 for the repair of *********** computer module for a 1999 ******** ******** VIN #*****************. The computer module was received back on 9/11/24 and installed that day. My husband emailed G7 at 1:10 PM on 10/11/24 that the installed module worked great for about a week and a half where we had added approximately 160 miles to the car. Some problems on the instrument panel began to recur as before. On 10/14/24 John at G7 said to try reinstalling the unit and clear the codes several times. We answered on 11/3/24 that we had made three attempts at clearing the DIM and none were successful in restoring it to normal, asking that G7 return the $525.00 paid when we first sent the module for repair. On 11/20/24 we emailed G7 that as of today we have not received a refund for this work order. On 11/20/24 John (G7) wrote “It is not going through. Is your card OK?” On 11/21/24 John wrote “Do you have *** ***?” We have attached documentation of the above.Business Response

In early May I sent a defective computer toG7 Computers. Gave them my **** card number and they billed me for $275.00 Advertised as no charge if unrepairable. Invoice #******dated 5/12/24 states computer unrepairable. G7 only communicates by texting. Was told they couldn’t credit my credit card but could send me a check. I agreed. I placed an order with G7 computers to have them fix my ECM for my Audi car. Order was placed on June 22, 2024. I sent them the part and it was sent back to me claiming to be fixed. Instead of it being fixed it has additional issues now causing me to replace the part ($3K). I contacted them immediately about the issue and they said the part must be bad and they agreed to issue refund on July 3d, 2024. It is now July 10th and the refund isn’t pending at my bank and G7 claims it must still be pending. I contacted them again on 7/10/24 asking about refund and they are now saying the issue must be my credit card because it won’t allow them to issue refund. I tried calling their phone but no one answers the phone. Based on other BBB reviews I think they are lieingBusiness Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I did not receive a refund until well after I complained. It wasn’t until the BBB got involved that a refund was issued. Which means when the business emailed me saying a refund would be issued that was a false statement. If I had not continued to communicate and get the BBB involved I would have been at a complete loss. Looking at all the BBB complaints the issues with this business are the same, people all have similar issues with items not getting fixed and refunds not getting issued until complaints are lodged. This business needs investigated.

Ordered an ecm repair from this company and was told that that would be unable to repair. Was told a refund would be processed never received money back to my card. Asked the contact John about the issue he said that a paper check has been sent through the mail. Waited a month and a half and still have not received the money back. This part was for a man in his 80s who uses his truck everyday and is on a fixed income this company should never be trusted. Every time I try to call and get in contact with g7 computers I get a text saying they are short staffed and can only communicate through textBusiness Response

G7 Computers said if the PCM/ECM is not repairable they will refund the money I paid ($225) When they received the item, they didn't even open it they said co'z it was already repaired. But still they charged me $225 leaving me thesame problem I had. It was so disappointing. It was a hard earned money...Business Response
