On 22 September 2022 O/A 7:00am we offloaded four cows to Micro Summit Processers. This meat processor delayed or schedule processing for 2-3 months, due to equipment malfunction. The owner, ******* *********, stated for two months that processing of our cattle was delayed due to the USDA and not by equipment malfunction. I later found out why the processing was delayed. He reduced our processing fee by 50% "because it took so long" (Original total: $2,222,28), no other reasoning other than 'employee' problems and USDA. We returned to our Ranch and Farms in two separate vehicles. It took us both approximately an hour to an hour and thirty-minutes to get to each or homes. Once offloading and review the cuts closely, we quickly realized we were missing approximately 300-400lbs of meat for as single cow, which had an 817 lbs. hanging weight. Then reviewing other boxes, we had an additional three cows processed with a combined hanging weight of 1227 lbs., appear to be missing cuts. There was no where near 1000lbs of processed beef from those three cattle or combined 2044lbs hanging weight. We created an itemized list of all cuts (Uploaded) and additional photos of the beef that was supposedly out of a freezer for 2-3 hours in 40 degree temperatures, but was nearly thawed and packaging was improperly sealed or not at all. We separated meats that appeared in bad condition or had an odor. The remaining was reluctantly provided to customers, whom returned the beef complain of it being spoiled or smelling bad. I informed the processor owner of the issue and he stated that he would make things right and for me to submit, by email, an cost of lost revenue. (The fiduciary requirements are not part of my complaint, just for information.) Note: I sent the email on 4 January 2023 at 5:24pm; Revenue Lost: $13,406.90, owner responded with "Received" on 4 January 2023 at 6:18pm. He has ceased all contact with me O/A 25 January 2023.
