I have sent numerous emails with regard to this matter. I was contacted in 2020 about this settlement. We are heading into 2023 and theyre are no updates. I paid for the timing chain replacement. It has been nearly 3 years with no real updates. I consistent get emails that state 45 day. I just need and want my check. I am struggling financially and the check would be beneficial. I have sent more than 50 emails in the past 2 years and I would like my check sent before the month is over and I would like to know the amount. It had been more than enough time to process this matter. I had a settlement with Navient and I received my check within 2 months. I was inconvenienced when I had to pay for the timing chains out of pocket. I just want my check please!

Rust Consulting is in receipt of complaint #********,which relates to the settlement of ******************* Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft and *** of ***** America,No. 2:17-cv-07386. Rust specializes in the administration of class action settlements and similar programs involving notification, contact centers, claims processing, and fund distribution. Rust is a neutral third-party administrator and was engaged to carry out certain administrative aspects of the settlement as established by the parties and to answer class membersquestions.

Rust has received the complainants claim and it has been approved. We currently anticipate that her check will mail towards the end of September or beginning of October, 2022, pending our receipt of the funds from ***. We will reach out to the complainant directly via email to confirm the payment amount.

Additional updates regarding the timing of the distribution in Gelis ** *** (along with any other available updates regarding the settlement) will be posted online at www.timingchainmodulesettlement.com. All time-sensitive information has been communicated to the complainant in a timely manner.

We would also note that **** also administered the Navient settlement referenced by the complainant. This is an example of how each settlement flows differently: Navient was not a claims-made settlement, and as such, Rust was able to distribute on a much shorter timetable than required in Gelis ** ***. Rust adheres to the requirements of each individual matter that we administer, which vary widely based on numerous factors.

Company issued a refund check under a ************************ Settlement. Check has bounced twice for in excess of 1100$. Company refuses to make good.

      Business Response

Rust Consulting is in receipt of complaint #********, which relates to the settlement of *** v. ******************** (D. Nev.). Rust specializes in the administration of settlements and similar programs involving notification, contact centers, claims processing, and fund distribution. Rust is a neutral, third-party administrator engaged to carry out certain administrative aspects of the *** v. AMG settlement and does not have the authority to act outside of its terms.

The complainant was issued a check as part of the settlement May. The check was returned through our positive payee process because the name on the check was not legible from the scan that we received from the bank. His payment was rejected at the bank for this reason. (There were sufficient funds in the account to cover the check; it did not bounce as the complaint suggests.)

The complainant informed Rust that he would not accept a replacement check from us. We received authorization from the *** to wire the funds to him instead. We contacted him to obtain his banking information (wire instructions) in writing and verbally confirmed the instructions with him. The wire was sent on July 12, 2022, and the funds should appear in his account within approximately 2 business days. We also sent the complainant an email on July 12 to confirm the transfer has taken place.

Rust is the administrator for the **** class action law suit settlement. Received a check in the name of my deceased husband, followed all the guidelines to have the check updated in my name. Never received the check. Can not reach anyone, can not get any further information. Rust keeps sending me postcards saying my time is running out to cash this check. I need to know if this will be settled and this company is scamming me out of a substantial amount of money.

This is regarding the Class Action Lawsuit that Rust Consulting, was appointed by the ********** to reimburse *** owners who had a timing chain malfunction. The court ordered reimbursement for any monies paid to *** owners who had their timing chain fix and within the in service date. I submitted all the documents requested. I called and emailed the attorneys who responded the documents were received. Rust Consulting emailed me that the checks were being mailed out along with deficiency letters and request for more information. All documents were sent in a timely manner and still Rust Consulting ***** continues to give us Big Money Wasted vehicle owners the run around. I need help getting monies owed to me. Very Respectfully IR

The *** filed a class action lawsuit against the ************ and settled. I was notified by the *** that I would obtain a settlement payment from Rust Consulting, (who is basically a scam organization to s**** people out of their settlement checks) when I submitted my claim with Rust back in January 2022. I have called Rust Consulting 4 times requesting my settlement payment. The first time I was told my payment would be sent to my Paypal account by end of Feb. when I called back in March they stated I missed the Paypal deadline and my payment would be sent out by check. In ***** I called back and the representative "*****" stated that I had not missed the deadline for the PayPal payments and would receive my payment by 5/20. On 5/20 I spoke with *** who stated payments are delayed and I would have to wait. At which point I hung up and decided to post this review. It's pretty disgusting to first be ripped off by one organization ************, then have the *** (my federal government) hand my class action refund over to another dishonest organization and be ripped off for a second time. All three organizations should be ashamed at how this was handled. I'm assuming at this point there is some sort of agreement between Rust Consulting and the *** to split up any settlement cash that isn't claimed. Absolutely disgusting.
