I do not recommend the use of Advantage construction. Dont be fool by these positive reviews like I was, they're fake. The sales rep that I dealt with were Devin ******** and Santber ****. They'll bride you with a gift card ($50 each in my case) in return of leaving a honest review, which I declined and show no interest. My experience with Advantage construction is exactly how the negative reviews are. I reached out to Devin bliayang on 07/17/23 in regarding to hail damage on the roof, water damage in the main floor bathroom ceiling that was leaking water by the dormer on the 2nd floor, and also the dining room for insurance claim. I hired Advantage construction on 08/31/23. Advantage construction will deny any wrong doing or damaged caused by them and will blame you for it. Very poor workmanship and unprofessional. When pointed out the flaws or damaged they'll respond, ""Do you know how to do it? Are you an expert? Why you telling me how to do my job"? The estimate shows $4950.00 for interior repair. $4000 was for the main floor bathroom and $950 for dining room. I declined to repair the dining room as I'll be renovating the area. I requested for an updated itemized estimate for the interior repair as the "updated" estimate shows the same balance of $4950.00. Devin responded, "The original estimate was from October 2023. We had to get a new estimate from our sub contractor, and the price increased." I again asked for a copy of the "itemized" estimate and was denied. Devin responded, "You have a copy of everything. If universal wants to see our sub bid again to approve the final supplement, then that's when you'll be able to view it. I reach out to general manager, and he said he knows what's going on. His excuse was that I had to wait cause he's too busy dealing with thousands other customers. When asked about the "itemized" estimate for the interior work Don responded "he'll look into it and we'll get back to me on Tuesday 06/18/24 I still have not heard from him.Advantage Construction, Inc.

We sent out our ** ***** and a Sales Manager to review the concerns he had and upon arriving the ** was belligerent to our ** and during the walkthrough with the Sales Manager the ** got mad with him for recording the encounter to document the items of concern with the ** but then the ** became hostile and took our Sales Managers phone and would not give it back. The ** finally gave the Sales Manager his phone back and the ** and Sales Manager left the property. Upon them getting back to our office the ** sent text messages from this ** that were very unprofessional and hostile towards him.
I tried to reach out to the ** yesterday morning and his voicemail stated it was full. The reason I reached out to him was to let him know we have sent the video and text messages over to our attorney to see how we should handle getting the repairs completed after the unprofessionalism this ** has been acting in with people trying to correct the problem. Once we hear back from our attorney, we will complete the repairs accordingly.

Advantage Construction violated, invasion of privacy, and secretly recorded me while in my home without my consent. *** made multiple statements about having videos recording of me. *** stated, Santber's reason for the recording was to document the items of concern, false. Santbers phone never came out the whole time of the walk through until I pointout the damaged that were caused to the corner sidings that were cut by *****. He has his phone up to my face which was no where in the direction of the damage. When told Santber not allowed to record on private property he refused to stop the recording which is why I had to confiscated his phone to stop the recording. *** later message me and said, he saw the recording on Santber's phone which I had thought that I deleted the video, my intention of confiscating his phone was not to delete the video, but to stop the recording on private property. As stated by *****, Advantage Construction will replace the tub/shower backwall surrounding, toilet seat, sidings by dormer, investigate lifting of shingles by dormer, and reseal the roof. None has been completed like said. After ***** had already stated Advantage Construction will correct the damaged they came out on different occasions to get measurements of the tub surrounding acting as if they wanted to resolve the issue but when asked to pointout the imperfection and/or the damaged they are in denial and claim no fault which result an argument which is why the project has not yet completed. They were hired to replace the ceiling and surround walls of the tub, which they had the needed measurements to start with. Also Santber came out and got the measurement himself. The ceiling in the main floor bathroom that you installed now shows imperfections and cracks, within less then 2 months. They claimed not to see any imperfections and also claimed that it'll happen. *** then said, "So you want 100% no flaws? I responded, "Am I paying full price, half, or base off of the repair? Of course, Geo then changed the subject. Advantage Construction clearly knows all this is done through insurance claim. Advantage Construction clearly knows once repairs are completed supported documents shall be sent to insurance to release funds. Besides the first 2 checks in the amount of $9,436.33 which already given to ***** no other funds has been released from insurance due to the job was never completed as Advantage Construction and their attorney SJJ LAW claimed to be. On August 16 I had asked *** about the $9,436.33 deposit I had made as to why was that not credited toward the final estimate? He responded, Not sure what you're talking about, the money is in our system and on our end.I just sent an invoice out to you showing you the payment and details on the invoice. If you don't see it check your Spam Folder. Thanks - See you Monday. *** came out on Monday to the property along with *** who's no longer allowed on the premises due to his recent behavior. The both shows up without an appointment. *** then got upset and sent the invoice to collection and also put a lien on the property. To put a lien on the property and to send the invoice to collection is uncalled for. Getting the company to complete the job and to correct the damage they cause to the property has become an issue. ***'s exact word, "Hey keyboard warrior you arent even a twinkle in my thoughts just so you aware as Ive previously stated I have no emotional involvement in items like this. I never admitted to damaging your surround but because you act like a two year old you didnt give me the opportunity to see if you are right or full of it and after your stunt this morning and other situations with you I would say your full of it. We will see what Im willing to do or not do.Matter a fact I believe the last time I brought up your surround was when the painter stated you pulled on it and from the pictures thats what looks like it not the painter. But we dont know for sure and Im not saying we did just so we are crystal clear on that issue! Ill be in touch if we are going to replace it or not but just know you still owe $16,313.69 to Advantage so regardless of if we replace the surround or if you have someone else replace the surround the absolute most the surround with labor will cost you is $1,000.00 tops. So you can pay us $15,313.69 and have someone else do it or pay us in full and well do it provided we have access to do the work because we are done playing your games. Is that clear enough for you! I responded, "Your message clearly shows that you seems to not know what's going on and act like a 2 year old. Of course I pulled on the backwall, what about it? That wasnt what caused the damaged. The damaged you caused is nowhere near where I pulled, invalid, and try again BIG MAD, LOL. You guys know **** well what ya did, in denial like always, lol. Suspect played victim. Your not getting a ***** out of me until the jobs is completed and fix the damaged ya caused to the property as ***** stated Advantage will. Whatever comes out of your mouth doesnt matter. I have proof of ***** stating Advantage will replace the backwall and thats all it matters. Take me to court if you want your money apparently it shows your not capable of handling the situation. You have until the end of August." *** responded, "Thank you thats the next step! I have you your options pay yesterday pay in full well have someone do the surround or I can take $1,000.00 off and you can have someone else do it. But this is the last time Im emailing you keyboard warrior. So let me know. Thanks. The quotes I received to replace the damage exceeded the $1,000 credit *** mentioned. I was qutoed from 2 different company in the amount of $5,000. I will not allowed or be using Advantage Construction to replace the damage tub/shower backwall and toilet. All others issues thats been mentioned, Advantage Construction are to correct under their 2 years warranty.Their attorney *** LAW claimed the reason for the gap is my previous roof was double, maybe triple layered with shingles and appears to be held together by duct tape. False, due to the spacing of the planks on the right side of the roof of the garage, not within code. That side of the roof had to be re-deck with 1/2in plywood, which created an uneven surface that caused the gap on the roof, installed by Advantage Construction. I had the roof inspected before purchasing the property back in 2016. The roof is not double, triple as claimed. Again, the duct tape was done by *****. This isnt rocket science and doesnt call for a professional to determine how many layers of shingles on a roof unless your blind or dont know how to count. His statement is invalid. SJJ LAW just admit that the duct tape installation done by Advantage Construction is not up to code. I suggest he get Advantage Construction to correct the installation to code. I have no issue paying the invoice. Complete the job as agreed on the contract so insurance can release the funds. Also, correct the damage as ***** stated Advantage will. The invoice shall be paid in full in no time once the jobs is completed and funds is received from insurance.Review fromLinda K

5 starsWe have owned our home for 28 years. In that time we have had a few strong storms that caused damage to our home. In the past, I would say that the companies we used were ok. One shingle company went out of business, some were really bad communicators. Advantage Construction (Thongla ***********) made this process of new siding, roofing, gutters stress free. He was amazing from beginning to end. Communicated with me often. Came out every time is men were working on our home. Handled everything. I would recommend Thongla *********** from Advantage Construction on any home repair.Review fromRobert M

5 starsWorked with ************ at Advantage. He approached me to offer a look at my roof after a hail storm. I initially refused as I already had someone else look telling me there was not that much damage. I was the only house in my culde sac that did not get a new roof! Divine intervention? I also was skeptical as I had been burned years ago by traveling contractors. He was professional and not pushy so I let him inspect and am happy I did. He noted damage so I filed a claim. This process took months as my insurance company was very difficult to deal with. ( Issued me a check for gutter guards, roof vents and 7 damaged shingles!) I am an extremely fussy and impatient man. There were times that I was short with **** while the insurance company was being tough. He handled me well and was very knowledgeable aboutthe process. **** and this company do not attempt to rip off the insurance companies either. He was very honest. Needless to say my wife and I do have a new roof, the process took sometime but **** stayed with ** and helped every step of the way. Great efficient crew too.Onlything now will beto shop for another insurance company.Review fromDeane W

5 starsI am so thankful our neighbors recommended Advantage (and specifically Matt H) after we received storm damage. Matt was knowledgeable, patient and made sure everything got done correctly and on time! Working with insurance claims can be a frustrating process and Matt helped us through every step and made sure our house got the repairs it needed. The crews that worked on the roof and the siding were both polite, professional and clean. Thank you Advantage
