On September 12, 2024, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11(b)(2)(5)(6)(8)(9); 326B.33, subds. 14, 15,16; 326B.809; 326B.84 (2(4)(5)(14)(15)(16) (2022) and Minn. Rule 2891.0040, subp. 1D (2021).
Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to cease and desist from performing or offering to perform electrical work in Minnesota; to ensure all contracted electrical work is completed by a licensed electrical contractor; all required electrical permits are obtain at or before work begins and to reduce all contracts and change orders to writing. The business also agreed to provide reasonable supervision to all employees, subcontractors and salespersons; and to ensure all inspections for permitted work are scheduled within 5 days and all correction notices are completed within 10 days of the notice. The business further agreed to only obtain building permits for work they are contractually obligated to perform and to fully comply with all local building permit and inspection requirements; to only do business in their licensed name and not allow others to use their contractors license for any purpose. The business will also pay $8,000.00 from a 2023 Consent Order and agreed to a $10,000.00 fine, with the balance stayed on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority. On November 22, 2023, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11 (b)(1)(3)(8) and 326B.84 (12)(2022). Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to fully comply with local building permit and inspection requirements; only obtain building permits for projects they are under contract to complete; to not allow others to use their license for any purposes and only transact business in their licensed name. The business will also pay $2,000.00 of a $10,000.00 fine, with the balance stayed on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority.
