************************. Ordered a part online and was shipped the wrong part. Tried to initiate an even exchange and the company refuses to do so. Representative points to some clause on their website, saying that the pictures attached to a listing are not guaranteed to be the same item shipped. I ordered radio, pictures on the listing were of a radio. I was sent an amplifier. Company refuses to work to help their customers. Representatives are rude, escalations go nowhere. Can not find out the information of our contract we signed with a company they bought out. I have asked multiple times, same result every time. I get different answers, or no answers, or just delays with no answers or incorrect answers. I have asked so many times that I finally had to look at invoices only to discover they have charged taxes on items they know I shouldn't be paying taxes on. 3 months and still waiting on a refund for that.Business Response

The original transaction 7/3/2023 Warranted transaction 5/29/2024, mileage traveled 7017 $7167.29 Repeatedly called many locations and left voice mails, including the president of the company and never received a call back and or email response. I sent a return receipt requested letter to the president and although it was accepted I did not receive a response. The delivery of the Warranted transmission in June of 2024 from ******* ***** took nearly 2 weeks even though the unit was available on the shelf there when the original failed. My complaint is the unprofessional conduct of the many locations that I called and none have responded. The replacement transmission has been installed and is operating and I believe it is showing the same initial signs of failure that the first unit did. I had an oil analysis done and am told there is no contamination at this time. I do not believe that a nationwide retail wholesale business should be allowed operate with this attitude and performance toward its customers.I filed a complaint with the ************************** and since they performed minimally to their warranty that there was nothing that the *** would be able to do. The 3rd party warranty with the transmission is not adequate to pay the expenses incurred when needed. If I was part of management in a company and the products performed so poorly as this one did I would be spending my time finding out why and what to do to correct it as well as reorganizing the customer ********************** department to correct that unacceptable performance.What can be done to help this company improve their customer focus and performance?Business Response

I ordered a used engine and it was not thoroughly inspected by LKQ. The engine was delivered via freight and we discovered a major, broken part (sprocket) after we received the engine. Our thought was to just simply ask for a partial refund that would cost far less than re-freighting this engine back for a replacement. A woman named ******* wit LKQ was incredibly condescending when I was trying to just get a partial refund. I was given so many run-arounds that I just gave up and came here instead. I would never buy an engine from this place. You are far better off just getting it brand new. That's exactly what I wish I had done.Business Response

So I bought this engine on march 3rd 2025 invoice number ********* Turned my core in never got my money back they took the core out of my truck around 10am on march 4th 2025, the woman says she cant do anything about my core even tho she told me they had a engine that week come in and didnt know where it went, shes basically telling me theres nothing she can do deal with it she said we didnt come in there even tho how would I get my new engine without coming in anyways I hate to have to go to bbb but I have to the sales man was gonna give me a core back number ********* then he called back said the woman called him and was trying to get me out of my core still like revenge she was just hateful on the phone didnt wanna work with me or anything, tried to get them to check the cameras they blame everyone but them selfs its not my fault the core didnt go thru I dropped it off like I was suppose to, they also were suppose to refund me $125 for a broken bolt they accidentally did removing the engine and still nothing 2 weeks laterBusiness Response

I am filing a complaint against LKQ for selling me a defective transmission, refusing to honor the warranty I paid for, and for the fraudulent actions of their employee, Jax Prez, who has deliberately avoided my refundeven though I have returned the transmission.I purchased the transmission with a six-month warranty and had it professionally installed. Initially, it worked, but then it failed catastrophically on the highway, dropping my speed from 70 mph to 5 mph in an instant, putting lives at risk. I had to tow the vehicle and incurred extra costs for labor, fuel, and time.I immediately tried contacting Jax Prez, but he ignored my calls for days. When I called from another number, he answered right away. He was aggressive, rude, and evasive, clearly trying to wear me down to not return the transmission.Despite his refusal to help, another representative instructed me to return the transmission to LKQ in *******, **********. I returned it on February 24 and received a receipt, with assurance that Id get my refund in three business days.Denial of Refund and Fraudulent Conduct After a week with no refund, I called for an update and was told my claim was denied with no valid ************** last call with Jax Prez was the worst. He was disrespectful and openly manipulative. He even said, "Its your word against mine," trying to dismiss my claim. This is fraud. I returned the transmission, paid for a warranty, and LKQ refuses to refund me.If I do not receive my $1,639 refund immediately, I will take the following actions:1. File a formal complaint with the *** for fraud.2. Report LKQ to the ******************************************3. Consult a lawyer for warranty fraud and consumer rights violations.4. I am beyond frustrated with the handling of my return and the terrible customer ********************** Ive received throughout this entire process. I followed your instructions, returned the transmission in good faith, and was never told that doing so would void my warranty. Yet, I am now being told that I cannot receive a refund despite you having the transmission in your possession and the fact that no one informed me about any of the supposed return requirements.Let me be clear: I am NOT interested in a replacement. The transmission you sold me is junk, and I am done dealing with your company. I simply want my money back almost $2,000 for a part that clearly does not meet the standards you claim to provide. Your lack of transparency, poor communication, and the rude treatment Ive received from your staff are completely unacceptable.I demand that you immediately process a refund for the full amount. If you fail to do so, I will have no choice but to escalate this issue, including filing a formal complaint with consumer protection agencies, disputing the charge with my bank or credit card company, and sharing my experience with online review platforms. Sept. I called looking to order some parts for a truck that was in my shop for repair. I gave the salesman all information he requested, Year, Make, Model, Vin# ect. He got back to me Sept. 26 with a quote & photos on parts, including 2 hood options, but was going to check & see if the locations of the hoods had a fender extension, to save on shipping. Oct 14, an email was received from salesman with photos of a fender ext. with a request of visual confirmation & a quote from salesman Dealer tells me they should be the same Between the phone calls of ******************* all information given to salesman he requested, and the salesman referencing a dealer has been contacted for right fit, a ************* ext. were bought on Oct. 14. The hood was delivered Nov. 4, It was not a correct hood. I contacted salesman Nov. 4 which he then requested I send photos of my hood which I did. He quickly offered me the second hood that was originally quoted in Sept, and I told him if its not correct I don't want it. He said he would check the second hood option out again and contact his aftermarket source in ****** to see if there was a correct hood to exchange. This is where I learn of new information and no other offered options, he says in a text message Nov. 6, Dealers part number doesnt match to any hood my aftermarket source offers The aftermarket source had another option but part numbers it interchanges to differ. At my expense I returned the hood & was credited for hood. This hood was sold with deceptive practices, when plant manager was asked to investigate with request of freight refund he replies the same with deceptive acts in stating when I bought the hood in October I knew of this Nov. conversation, picking a hood from photos sent in Nov. (which were photos requested from salesman of my own hood) He proceeds to tell me that I owed more than he previously stated then declares the matter resolved and threat of collections. I am rejecting this response because:Clearly this company does not care for the small business owners who rely on their Salesman's knowledge to order the correct part. Looking at the conversations provided earlier it is clear the salesman did not do his due diligence in finding the correct part but made a very convincing presentation that he had. The response from the business stating "staff acted in accordance with our procedures and policies" makes this quite clear of how their business is conducted. I do not consider a refund for a wrong part compensation for the salesman's error.

I purchased an engine from LKQ manufacturing for round 2400 dollars the engine they produced had used lifters and would not work properly they okayed the repair to replace the lifters they said they would reimburse for all parts and labor they set up a case number of ****** for the claim to replace the lifters after the work was done they only reimbursed $230.78. they did not reimburse for the cost of the lifters which was ****** dollars I have contacted them five times about this they keep saying oh yes we will pay you but they don't do it it's been going on for over 4 months now and they still have not reimbursed me for the lifters.
