    My A/C stopped working and called Shumate. Technician came the next day and replaced a transformer and a contactor switch and billed me for about $730 (including $95 service charge). Before he replaced those parts he did not notify about how much the parts would cost me. If he had informed me before replacing those parts I would have asked him not to fix it. But that did not happen. I had to pay the technician and let him go. I contacted Shumate later about this with a hope of getting some discount since I have been a long time customer, but no luck. If you plan to call Shumate then be sure to ask the technician to let you know the cost of replacing a part before he/she works on it or be ready to get an unexpected bill.

    Shumate Plumbing inconvenienced us, provided poor customer service, and violated our constitutional rights by twice scheduling us for clearing, repair of our washing machine drain line and not showing up, finishing the work..we had to keep rearranging our basement for a week for accomodate the repair..one of their plumbers came to our house on Friday February 3rd to see to the matter..he attempted a drain clear with a small battery operated machine..that was not successful..he said he would need to cut the drain line, do other work..he said he was scheduling us for a return visit on Wednesday February 8th anywhere from 12-6pm..when he had not arrived by 6pm we called the office to find out why not..they said something to the effect that 'he forgot to put it in the system' etc..the plumbing manager, ?****? then asked whether we would like to 'reschedule' the work..we agreed and set an appointment with them for Friday February 10th from 2-4pm..at 8:00pm when they hadn't shown we called their office #..the women that answered, ?Tuesday?, said she saw the job 'in the system' but can't explain why the plumber didn't show up..she asked if we wanted to 'reschedule' the work for another day/time..we told her no, not this time..that we would try and address the issue another way (through BBB)

I have called the number on file to schedule a return appointment on 04/04, 04/05 and 04/06.When I called on 04/06/2023 the voicemail is full.
