Highly disapointed with our experience. My father is an older gentleman and somehow signed up for a subscription for this without meaning to. He was simply looking for photos of one of his cousins who had recently passed away. He never received any reports but has been charged for 3 months of reports and another fee for a subscription for downloads. Another example of a company trying to slip in monthly subscription costs and in this case two of them! We called and pleaded for them to refund the charges and the agent stated this was their company policy and that they did not make allowances, they would only refund the charges from this last cycle. We asked to speak with a manager and she said again we would get the same answer. Not making it very clear that someone is signing up for a subscription is a sad and deceitful practice that has become way to common in todays world. Not making allowances or showing compassion for those who are no longer in the workforce and trying to enjoy their retirement on their set incomes really just speaks volumes. Maybe instant checkmate provides a good service for some people, I can't speak to that but their lack of compassion and lack of desire to do the right thing (or maybe they just don't know that is)....I certaintly would not want anything to do with them and will not support their business in any way.

Business with criminal activities. Scammer use it to launder money.Scammer signs up with stolen credit card credentials (mine!), Instant Checkmate collects the fees, scammer collects commission fee. They don't want to give back the stolen money. Total unethical business practices, potential criminal activity.Instant Checkmate

Signed up for a ONE TIME USE and they enrolled me in a monthly subscription at $35 and change compared to $3.99 ONE TIME USE. Called to cancel, awaiting to see charges dropped.Instant Checkmate

5 starsI have used every business that offers reverse phone lookup. Most offer additional search options such as email and name. Instant Check Mate goes leaps further offering name, E mails, address, secondary phone numbers and even usernames as well as possibilities of these (usually hinting a connection). You can also get background reports. If you have ever had to purchase a background report on an individual, you know the information included. Instant Check Mate offers even more info than that before you even have to pay a cent more than the basic sub fee. I see so many people complain about having to pay for these searches but it's a business and the data you get just with the min. Sub is by far more valuable than their competitors. I could write an extensive list about all the data you'll be sippin tea to but I'll just say If you've clicked on a reverse phone lookup site because it said "Find out who they're texting" or "Is your husband lying?", "Find him on Tinder!" Instant Check Mate is gonna get you closer to that info than a group of you and your besties putting on your detective caps and scrolling through hundreds of social accounts. ********************** Check Mate will give you the LINKS of the socials you're looking for bestie! THE quality of what you are getting is unmatched. This business does what others claim to do and will have you moving in the shadows and on your way to a gasliit free existence. One tiny issue ill mention, I opened a second account for a search bc I was unable to connect to my VPN so I paid the trial fee, I made sure to cancel so I wasn't charged the monthly subscription price.Well they accidently charged me the Sub price, so I contacted support via e mail. The refund came through within 36 hrs without them having to follow up or me hassling. No need to provide CC numbers, Time, date, e- mail used and first born child AS IT SHOULD BE. The data I received from them contained inaccurate information and included data for people other than the ones I searched for. I could find more accurate information using ****** searches. They charge ~$30 for 1 month, but if I wanted to download any report I would be charged more. As I was canceling the membership they offered free reports and only $16.95 a month. I read the *** report from 2014 about their practices and the fine they had to pay. They are still using the same fraudulent practices in 2024. Why are they able to continue? I used Instant Checkmate one time to compare results from another service. I made absolutely sure to use the "one time" service, and not apply for recurring or continued usage.Checking my card charges, I see that Instant Checkmate automatically signed me up for ongoing service, with a monthly charge!!Customer service refunded the second month charge. But the first month charge is MORE than the advertised charge for a "one time" search.That is fraud and theft. I just called to cancel, let's see if they honor the request and cancel as their customer service personnel said!Instant Checkmate

After inquiring about quotes for monthly contracts, i got a nasty email saying I abused their community rules and they were cancelling my account. I wrote them back and told them I didn't know what they were talking about since I was inquiring about an account, and I didn't have one. I have used them in the past but told them I'd be glad to take my business elsewhere. Very disappointed in the direction this company taken.Instant Checkmate

They falsely claim that they can provide records when in reality they either can't because they are dependent on other organizations to provide the information or they simply want your money and will say anything to get it.I went to their website and requested a research on a certain individual. As with each question they asked me to answer, they claimed to have all sorts of records on the person researched when in reality they did not.A total waste of time and money as the report did not provide any information at all other than the person's name, date of birth, address and family ************* false advertising. False advertisement: I went to this website to find Military Records for my mother in laws deceased husband, paid $31.00 for this membership and they did not provide military records. I called and the representative stated they do not provide those records and I explained to her that their website indicated they did. She asked me for a screenshot of their web page and email their "support" office. I was able to cancel my membership, and thankfully, I am awaiting the refund.Instant Checkmate
