    - Took my crown ******** in for a full inspection 189 dollars on 6-8-22 - I was told what was wrong based on the inspection and left.- I came back immediately because now my car is making a new noise it didn't make before and should not be making.-They acknowledged the noise was new and took a look back on the lift.- After a brief 5 minute look, **** (i think was his name) came back and said they aren't sure why theres a new noise. He stated (not verbatim) ' it may be the parking brake components (which they inspected and still didn't know for certain) rattling around behind the calipers/rotors -not only that BUT **** tells me that THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ***** ITS MAKING THAT DEVELOPED IN THEIR CARE. he literally said "we are not responsible" (the parking brake components)- i told **** "i brought the car in WITHOUT that noise and left with the noise YOU ARE RESPONIBLE", **** tried to say oh it may have happened when you drove off the lot today. ARE YOU KIDDING its a 2010 its not that old. -He tried multiple excuses rather than taking responsibility for a newly developed problem (the sound/parking break) that happened under their care of my car, **** even acknowledged it happened with them but denied it was their responsibility blaming it on the car.- aside from this..... i originally came in for an inspection to know of any safety concerns or mechanical issues. initially when going through the inspection he said the axels were fine. AFTER i brought the car back for the noise, AFTER 5 minutes on the lift **** LITERALLY TELL ME (with glee) THE ***** ARE WORN AND THEY COULD FLY OFF ON A TURN. HOW DO YOU MISS THAT!?!? if i didn't bring it back i wouldn't have even known that. WENT FROM ***** ARE LIKELY FINE to THEY CAN FLY OFF THE CAR?still refuses to fix the noise UNDER THEIR SUPERVISION and the inspection i paid for WAS done incompetently and carelessly, if i hadn't come back i would have no idea the car had a major life threatening issue

*************************** request we perform a safety and maintenance inspection on a 2010 **** Crown ******** he just purchased. When the vehicle arrives, we find out it is a former police car that has been modified and looks like the car ****** drove in the ***** Brothers movie. I mean this vehicle looks rough and has an inoperative odometer. For all we know there may be a million miles on this thing. The rear axle are very worn per the visual inspection. So much so, we communicated to him it could be a safety issue requiring immediate attention. He stated after the inspection, there is a noise he hears from the right rear axle area he did not hear prior to us inspecting his car and demanded we repair it at no cost to him. We never disassembled anything on his car when we inspected it and I told him there is nothing we could have done to cause this noise. He demanded we repair his car and became angry with us when we refused. We did not build this vehicle. We did not buy this vehicle. We did not break this vehicle. There for, we are not responsible for any repairs. Sincerely, *********************

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

You didn't even know the axels were supposedly worn during the inspection,I had to bring the vehicle back to inquire as to why there was a new noise that occured under your handling of the car to find out that there was something wrong with the axels, which I had originally asked about, and was told they're "not likely" bent or a safety hazard. If I Hasint come back I never would have known, the car is only 2010 it's shape isint an excuse for dodging responsibility for something that occured in YOUR companies care. .]

    Regards,

This customer asked for an inspection, and he signed the repair order per the attachment. We did nothing other than inspect this vehicle. He is asking we fix something we did not break, and we feel this is not right and just. We refuse to work on this customer's vehicles ever again. Sincerely, *********************.
