***** ***** gave me a quote for deck painting and floor removal/ replacement on September 1, 2024. He stated he would be starting on Sept. 15, 2024 and would need a down payment to secure a spot on the calendar. The subtotal was $2532, with a $1300 down payment required in cash. I had to contact him multiple times after September 15 to find out when or if they were coming to do the work. H3 finally had people come to start painting on October 7, 2024. They stopped painting on October 11, 2024, without doing touch up or the lattice. He required me to purchase the paint myself. I am disabled and he sent me to the store four times to get more paint after stating I would only need 1-2 gallons. After the first day, I had to contact him each day to see if they were coming to finish. They did not finish! They refused to paint the lattice on the bottom. He said that wasn't part of the quote. I had to finish painting the lattice and do touch up. He never started the floor. He tells me he fired his staff and he is waiting on an insurance claim before he can begin. At this point, I have paid him $1300 for a job he quoted $1000 for. He refuses to refund me or start the floor. And his employee took a sign for my deck that I purchased. They refuse to return my sign. I am disabled and have limited funds, time, or energy to deal with this. I am now seeking someone else to do the flooring but I have wasted a great deal of time working with and waiting for ***** ***** to complete this job. It is a health risk to keep the existing carpet and now that winter has come, it's a more difficult process than it would have been had he done the job in September as promised.
