    After 7+ years living in an apartment managed by landmark they claim I left it filthy. I fully acknowledge the charge for the hole in the door but the rest is bogus. They also altered the check they sent me so it cant be deposited

    When my boyfriend died 7/10/2021 landmark immediately made me pay another $1000 deposit, which it appears gave them more to charge me for. I paid $320 for a cleaner. How can I be charged for normal wear and tear after 7+ years

    Tell us why hereWe complete moveouts according to our move-out list, take pictures, and follow up with all repairs. This unit had clearly been smoked in especially the bathroom and bedroom, which was noted by the cleaner. Baseboard trim was coated in dirt and debris. Personal items left in the unit needing to be hauled including a tv and stickers stuck to the window. There was wall damage needing to be repaired. All blinds were damaged and so coated with dust and debris not even worth cleaning. attached are pictures of the move-out proof. I have many more pictures but space is limited. The bathroom fan shows how filthy the bathroom was left. The sticky squares on the wall all had to be removed, which has a clear square of soot/smoke/vape line around it in the bedroom. There was also an active leak under the kitchen sink that was never reported to the office for repair. The charges are justified and stand. ...

    I cant even count how many times I reported problems with the bathroom fan. If the apartment was so filthy why was the never noted on 8 years worth of walk throughs!

    Any maintenance items were addressed when reported. The bathroom wash filthy. This was not maintenance related.
