    I interviewed for a Senior Consultant position with this company in April 2024a role I am more than qualified for based on my experience. Instead of offering me the job I applied for, they extended a contingent offer for an Analyst role, which is two levels below what I interviewed for and comes with a $30,000 pay difference.The contingent offer stated that they wanted to hire me but didnt have a current client assignment available. It was supposed to be valid for three months, after which it would expire if no assignment was found. However, when I followed up, my recruiter told me that the offer had been renewed and was still valid, assuring me that they were actively searching for a placement.For the next several months, my recruiter checked in once a month, telling me to "sit tight" while they looked for an engagement. Now, its February 2025, and I still have not started the job. This company has kept me in limbo for nearly a year, misleading me into thinking an opportunity was coming when, in reality, they had no real intention of placing me in a role.This type of bait-and-switch hiring practice is unacceptable. They downgraded my role, drastically reduced the salary, and then never followed through with a job placement. Companies like this try to lock candidates into contingent agreements, making them sign away rights while knowing they dont have real work to offer.If youre considering employment here, be cautious. Dont put your career on hold waiting for a job that may never materialize.
