  We hired Secoy Custom Structures in May of 2023 after finding some positive reviews online. This is a big project on our farmhouse including building a pool shed, building a front porch, siding, trim, shutters, new front door with sidelights, a door and window and siding on our garage and fixing a hole in our free stall barn roof. We made a 50% deposit on the project which was supposed to be completed no later than July 2023. Fast forward to now, siding is mostly finished on the house, (no trim or shutters) porch is mostly finished, pool shed built and the window has been installed in the garage.Every week he says he will be in to work, but doesn't usually come. There are many stories for many months about the whereabouts of the front door, but it isn't here. There are piles of used and unused building materials laying around the house, including where we park our cars.More money was requested by the company and was paid to keep the project moving forward at least a little bit, or so we thought.He nearly always promptly answers texts and calls and makes plans to work on our project, but rarely follows through on those plans.The work that is nearly finished is good.We have no clear idea when he will return or when our project will be completed.

  Family members hired **** Secoy because a friend recommended him, he gave her a good quote, and they felt they could communicate well with him. They paid him a higher than normal deposit, and then paid him more after requesting a couple of modifications to the original plan. He began the work, did the needed demolition, then did no work for several months. When they started having water damage due to the unprotected worksite, he finally showed up to put up some tarps. The water problems continued. They paid another contractor to do a more thorough job of weatherproofing the job site, and no more water entered the house, but $20,000 worth of damage had been done, as corroborated by their homeowner's insurance company. After months of calling him constantly, hearing promises to be there soon, and never seeing him show up as promised, **** did send roofers and came to install windows (rated for use in warmer climates), but then nothing more happened. They decided to fire him, asking him to provide detailed invoices and bring the materials they had already paid for as well as some materials that the original contract said would be saved and reused. The invoice he produced was sketchy and had inflated prices, no materials ever appeared, the house was severely damaged, and the payments he had received exceeded the value of the work completed. It was a total nightmare, and the financial hit was substantial. **** accepted no responsibility and at one point threatened them.
