    I contacted these people for a quote to cut down and remove a tree (maple, under 50ft). They came back with an outrageous number of $3,500. I told them that was more than we could afford and asked for a second quote just to cut it down, but not remove. They ignored me and never replied. I’ve been in touch with multiple tree services since then and have been told the Lawson quote was way out of line. The company I ended up choosing only charged me $1,200 (and they were actually located much further away).

    Mr. *****, After our original quote sent to you, I wanted to let you know that we did not ignore your email on a cheaper quote for cutting the tree down only. Your email stated you could not afford that price and if we were willing to do it cheaper by just laying it down to let you know. (our price was final) The tree was a large tree over a home, powerline and trailer. In order for us to take the tree down safely we would have to have moved it out of the area to maintain safety for our crew. The tree was larger than 50ft and directly located over a house, trailer and power...Our prices vary are based on services tree and danger involved, payroll, liability insurance, hauling large equipment and fuel costs. We are glad you were able to locate a tree company that you could afford to do the work... I hope they are insured; this is something you need to check on, I hope they meet all of your parents' needs and all is well. I am sorry you felt the need to go through the BBB and other means to leave a low review only because you were not satisfied with our price.
