    Ended our security service with them within 30 days of the bill date. I contacted them about the cancellation via phone and email. Finally, they responded after the bill date and are now charging us not only for that month but in an additional fee for no reason. I went ahead and paid the monthly bill but informed them I would not be paying the additional fee as we had canceled prior to the bill date. After this, they stopped responding to any inquiries and kept mailing the bill for this. No response from them at any point. Do not use Johnson Controls for anything unless you like being overcharged, having no one to talk to, no customer service, and zero care for you as a customer.

    Apparently, they have closed shop without providing care or forwarding lines. I knew that my alarm equipment was getting old and probably wasn't working with the new area code requirements for phone calls. I left messages at three different voicemails in April requesting assistance in testing or upgrading my systems. No one returned the calls. I then received a letter from the owner stating that he had sold the business and there would be no disruption to service. I left a voicemail for the owner with no reply. Next, an invoice from ******* ******** arrived. At least they had an active phone number (with a long phone tree before speaking with someone). After being cut off and starting the process again, I spoke with a representative stating that I needed to email a request to cancel. I sent the email and went on vacation. While away, there were phone messages left that they require a signed request, and they have a 30 day waiting period before enacted. In the interim, I had a new alarm system installed by another company. Unfortunately, I still have to pay for more days of the alarm system from RAC that does NOT function and hasn't for months. *I wanted to give zero stars, but the rating scale insists on one star.
