1 starSimilar to other reviewers, I cannot emphasize strongly enough that this company does not honor their warranties and has zero interest in supporting resolution for their customers. Do NOT buy a warranty from this company. I also will leave a separate review for NordicTrack as this is the second treadmill we have owned with issues (shame on us for giving them another chance). Regarding UTS, our treadmill has been out of commission for 21 months. After the initial round of repairs it functioned for about 6 months before reverting back to the same issue (belt stops mid-run causing risk to runner). They have sent multiple technicians and parts, none of which have been able to successfully fix the issue. They have zero interest in actually resolving the issue promptly, have often had parts on backorder (leaving us with a paperweight for a workout machine), and have been inconsistent in their communication. With competitors entering this space I think NordicTrack needs to be very mindful of companies they choose to partner with that are customer facing and represent their products. Strategic error on their part. And UTS should lose any form of BBB rating based on reviews left here by other customers. Where is protection for consumers?Review fromDominic C

1 starThe *** needs to be sued for fraud. We all deserve a refund for extending our warranties via UTS. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with them and actually get your treadmill serviced. This is literally a scam company. How they have an A- BBB rating is beyond me.Review fromAnne J

1 starWish negative stars were possible; clearly UTS is incentivized to NOT honor warranty agreements. The belt on my Nordic track stopped working. I emailed the technician directly and through troubleshooting determined it needed a new controller. That took less than 10 minutes, enter UTS.. after 40 minutes and three customer service representatives, including getting transferred back to the starting point, a request for a new controller was finally sent (hoop 1 of 3). However, the request still needed approval (hoop 2 of 3, requiring a written note from technician stating a controller was needed). After my technician sent the email, I had to call back again to schedule the technicians time (hoop 3 of hopefully 3) - another hour on hold. This company is horrible. Will never buy another NordicTrack again - the product regularly breaks down, and dealing with warranty takes half a day minimum each time and the machine is out of commission 4-6 weeks a year.Review fromJR

1 starPurchased the 4 year UTS **************** Plan on my Pro-Form Carbon HJiit H7 elliptical on 3/6/2022 . The machine stopped working , seems to be an electrical power issue. Called the UTS 800 service number, very long wait times to reach a live agent. Told by the UTS agent 12 that they would not send out a service person and to contact Pro-Form for help. they offered to transfer me to that 800 number ... WHY as they are the "service plan" ... 'passing the buck... to avoid doing the work ? DONT appreciate paying them and getting brushed off. DONT BUY this extend service plan it's a rip off wish there was a zero star rating option!Review fromJay W

1 starPurchased an **************** Plan, I had a treadmill belt issue, and UTS (Universal Technical Services) sent a belt to me and asked me to watch ******* and fix it by myself first. Terrible service!Review fromDavid M.

1 star**************** provided by ********************. I am referencing Agreement No. ******** as purchased by/issued to my step-daughter for issues with the **** Health and Fitness elliptical exercise machine, used 100% in a temperature controlled environment.Service calls were initiated with UTS over the course of many many hours that included long discussions with both a virtual technician and an in-home technician. BOTH technicians, in the course of their dealing with my step-daughter indicated that she had taken good care of the machine - which she emphatically has.In essence, the result of the dual inspections by both technicians resulted in parts being ordered and delivered for the necessary repair. And that, despite the many hours on the phone and in-home with the technicians, is where the problem continued. When my step-daughter called to find out when the technician was coming to install the replacement parts she was informed that the agreement had been cancelled. When asked why, she was informed that rust (not covered) was the cause of the cancellation. This, despite both technicians previously citing the condition of the machine as being "taken care of" and the ordering and delivery of parts. The "rust" claimed by UTS was nothing more than grease used by the in-home technician - AND if there was rust at the time of the inspection - why was that not cited then and why order parts if the agreement was not to be honored?Furthermore, Terms and Conditions of the Service Agreement, ************************** F 'Cancellation' states the following: We (UTS) may not cancel this agreement ...... Notice of such cancellation will be mailed to You at least thirty (30) days prior to cancellation and will include the effective dates and reason for cancellation. Suffice to say, no such advanced notice has been received - so in effect, the agreement still stands - just not honored.BEWARE - RUST is the UTS "Get out of jail free card" - and they apparently use it quite often!Review fromNoah B.

Do not go through this company. They try everything possible to not stand behind the warranty. We have a proform treadmill and we had issues with the incline. They came out to our house multiple times trying to fix it. The technician replaced the motor 3-4 times and then this last time said it was due to ***************** in the control panel. How can wires that are supposed to be protected get wet. We wiped down the machine and it was in a controlled environment at all times. This company will not stand behind their warranty and they will not fix your machine. If anything they make it worse. Do not buy their extended warranty, unless you want to get scammed.Universal Technical Services

We appreciate your review of UTS service claims, we do have evidence via photos of rusted electrical components on the unit which cause damage to the performance of the product. The service agreement does specify that we do not cover parts nor service to repair rusted components. We are willing to continue with the service agreement for further parts and services if the rusted parts are replaced at the customer's expense for the issues currently reported. If you would like to proceed with this option we will continue to work with you towards an amicable resolution. Thank you.Noah B.

Just had an electrician over to look at the product in question. He was able to remove the back panel and found zero corrosion inside the machine. He also was able to adjust 2 wires on the bottom that came loose (he guessed a faulty part or poor re-assembly) and was able to fix it. The machine is working great now, no thanks to UTS. They tried everything in their power to get us to pay for it. When in fact it was a minor fix (that any normal technician would know). Again stay away from this company they only want your $$ and will do the absolute worst service for you. Like I said earlier, they try to scam you.Review fromMatt D

So far I have been trying to get annual maintenance scheduled for 5 months with zero response. I get disconnected from the chat on iFit's website when they try transferring me over. I call during business and the UTS recorded message says they're closed. This was an absolute waste of money.Universal Technical Services

1 starUTS is horrible to deal with. Their response time for maintenance and repairs is completely unsat. Basically, you don't get the full benefit of the warranty you paid because it takes so long to get each one done you run out of warranty time while you machine is down and/or waiting for maintenance service.
