There was a mouse that got into my apartment shortly after I moved in, due to weather stripping missing on my front door. I moved in on 03/04/23. Requested weather stripping on 03/06/23. Noticed mice droppings on 03/21/23. Reported mouse and requested weather stripping again on 03/21/23. Weather stripping finally installed on 03/22/23. I also requested that any entry points to be patched up, and dishwasher and oven be pulled out to clean mice feces and to check for additional entry/nesting points on 04/03/23. The onsite management was trying to take care of the situation, but then the Regional Property Manager (Whitney P******* of Perry Commercial) stepped in and denied my request for the dishwasher and oven to be pulled out. After many emails back and forth, I reached out to Whitney P*******'s boss (John S****) to report Whitney and request a credit for the cleaning fees. It was the same type of response as Whitney P*******, and he went as far as accusing me of bringing the mice with me when I moved in and told me that it wasn't likely that they would approve a credit. After providing the cleaning fee info, I never heard back from John S****. I attached the cleaning fees that I incurred, checklist from the contractor documenting that my weather stripping (door sweep) was missing before I moved in and was not installed when I moved in. I tried to attach the email correspondence with Whitney P******* and her boss John S****, but the file was too big. Please let me know how I can send this to you. I am requesting that they come back out to pull out my dishwasher (this is nailed secured) to clean mice feces and check for any entry/nesting points, and the cleaning fees ($270) for furniture that I incurred (mouse feces) be credited for my upcoming rent.
