had mud jacking done at the ********************* Stripling convinced me the only way to get full coverage under the foundation was to inject mud in holes drilled every four feet through out the inside of the house , some ******** holes to be drilled I agreed that would be the best. on the day of for repairs to be made he and his subcontractor decided drilling on holes 8 to 12 feet apart would be good enough. ended up only drilling 25 holes instead of the ******** holes we agreed on. reducing the labor time by 75% and refused to adjusted his price because it was a contract price

I provided ****************** a written estimate to do the work which indicated the areas where we would be working via picture. He agreed to the pricing and we performed the work. His complaint indicates that my work is based on a specific number of holes to complete the work. My work is actually based on ensuring that we fill the void areas and I have never based the work on the number of holes. We did have a conversation where I indicated that a number of contractors drill a hole at each end of the slab, then pump material very thin, rendering it in my opinion, useless. We don't do that.

He said that he was satisfied with the labor, but wanted a discount. I did not offer a discount and told him that I stand by my work. Afterwards, a complaint ensued. I called the customer offering a $500 discount, but he did not accept. I then offered for us to go back and drill more holes, but he again refused. I stand by my work having done this type of work for many, many years with the vast majority of customers raving about excellent quality and value.

I am rejecting this response because:

mark stripling convinced me the only wat to get full coverage under the slab was to drill every four feet and inject mud under the slab. that would be very labor intensive and a lot more work then I had already paid for to the company that raised the foundation, and had to get a refund because **** Stripling was going to do a better job at getting mud under every inch of the slab foundation. i was able to get $1,800 refunded to me, that was for them to drill and inject mud in 18 holes in the foundation. when the work was done the contractor the used had only drilled 21 holes in the slab and i had to ask the to drill another 4 holes because they were too far apart and I actually ended up drill the holes my self  in the agreed locations with the contractor when he had to leave and fill up his trailer with top soil to finish the job. the only reason i would agree to pay an additional $3,200 was because of all the additional labor of drilling holes every four feet , they did the about the same work as what the company the raised the foundation quoted me they would be doing, **** was just charging $3,200 more for drilling 7 more holes and i drill 4 of them myself . the only reason I was looking for someone else to do the work was because the foundation company was 2 months behind  and I was paying for storage containers because everything was out of the house. when he started doing the work i just wanted it done and good enough that I could keep the warranty for all the foundation repairs.

his quote was too vague and I was going off of his word and what he said he would be doing

I don't think I should have paid more the $500 over what the foundation company had quoted for their work or $2,300. would be a fair price for what was done !

    Regards
