I cant get ** to fix leaky fireplace, which will rot my house. I called, texted, and emailed. No response. Also, I stained my patio before the screen room build. Since contract was 6 mos behind schedule, which I tried to be patient with, he came on a Jan 2025 day with ice/snow. Three times I suggested waiting 2 days for 40s/snow melt. He declined. A pro knows not to build on ice. I deferred to his "expertise." During job, he asked for salt. I gave it to him not knowing you cant use it on concrete....So now my newly stained porch is spalling, flaking, cracking where they put salt (along screen wall). Rest of patio not affected. Concrete restoration is $1700. I owed JB $1k and suggested we call it a wash, I would eat difference. The owner of another construction company told me I was being since all construction folks know not to put salt on concrete. He said ** should pay for it. I suggested instead to ** that he file an insurance claim. He got enraged, left, and hasn't contacted me back. I had told him "we will work something out." ** also DIDN'T READ contract before job. 1st line said I wanted an 8" surround, but he put in a 2'. That morning I told him I wanted a 12" overhang. Instead it's 6", so rain gets in. ** never asked, Ma'am do you want the 6" or 12"? Are you willing to pay more? Nothing. And he didnt speak up when I said 12" while reviewing list. So I'm stuck with 6". I cant get a response via cell, text or email. Oh, and contract said they'd handle all paperwork with city/HOA, but we spent 3-4 hrs on it ourselves as they weren't responsive (over 2 months). We measured, **** plot map, drove to city office, and sent to ***. He knows the side of my house will rot where leaking. He knows I would win in court. And yet he hasn't responded to fix the leak. Also, he blocked me from his ******** page , assuming so I wouldnt review him.
