  Ortiz Tree services has not shown up at my property after three scheduled appointments since September 2024. Calls to the company, IF one is able to connect to staff, indicate they will show-up if one is on the schedule that day. FALSE. Once is an error, three times is overbooking while failing to deliver scheduled service. 0 Stars to this company.

  This company has a habit of putting a flyer in your mailbox as they drive through neighborhoods. A few years ago, they did this and I called them to get a quote. They never returned my call or messages. A friend of mine used them a while later and had success. Then my friend tried to use them again and they completely flaked and never got back to him. I did not know this had happened to him until we had a discussion about the following experience. I recently got another flyer in my mailbox. Looks like they updated it to look more professional then the one I received years earlier. I called to get a quote. They came right out. When they gave me the quote they said they could schedule me two weeks out. Great! I signed the approval for the job. I called 811. The yard was marked. They sent me a text letting me know I was scheduled. The day came when they said they would arrive at 11am. That time came and went. I called them during my lunch and the woman who answered the phone said they were having vehicle trouble and would be here as soon as they can. 4:55pm and still zero communication from them. I texted them asking about rescheduling. I heard nothing from them. I called them the next morning and could not get through. Like my number was blocked or something. It sounds like they use a virtual number for their business. I looked at the flyer and realized there was a second number to call which I did and left a message. Still no response from them. No apologies. Nothing. I ended up scheduling with another tree company as a result. Ortiz Tree Service has proven to me on a number of occasions that they just don't need the business or they don't care. I don't know which. They are completely careless with people's time and have zero professionalism where proactive communication is concerned. I do not recommend them at all. I gladly paid someone else more to do the job.

  I made an appointment with Ortiz back at the end of July for the removal of a large tree limb downed by a storm. They said they would be here on 8/17/23. On 8/16/23 they called and said they would be out tomorrow but could not give me a time. The following day (8/17/23), they did not show, so around 2:45 that afternoon, I called to see when they were coming. The person I talked to said she would contact the crew and call me back. They were a no-show that day and failed to call me back. The times I have tried to call them since then I get nothing but an answering machine. This is no way to run a business!
