Highly skilled specialist and beautiful office. Dental Assistant willing to answer questions. Here are my concerns: 1.) First time visit for evaluation earlier in year when I asked for office to confirm with referring dentist which tooth needed root canal he took offense to it and said I was "creating problems". 2.) Second time in for root canal - Went well 3.) Referral to evaluate different tooth for root canal. 5/12 date of service scheduled. Got there on time, waited about 20 minutes before anyone in front came back from lunch. I discussed with Assistant at front desk based on no pain in 48 hour if I needed the evaluation($225 or so). Also, requested that the "tooth tap" not be done if possible cause I was afraid it might worsen the pain or bring the pain back on. I ended up agreeing to the evaluation and for the tooth tap to be done since I was told it was necessary. When I left later, Nally said I had "giving his front desk person problems". 4.) Then, went back for 3-D imaging. I noticed that the assistant had on blue gloves but she had been touching surfaces and equipment in the room. I asked her if she planned to touch anywhere in my mouth, she said no. She then put a plastic sheath over the mouth plate that I was to bite down on for the x ray. Her fingers touched over top of the plastic sheath I was to put in my mouth and I brought to her attention this un-sterile practice. She then put a new plastic sheath on but again didn't change gloves. Another assistant then came into the room and told her to put a new pair of gloves on. As she was doing this Nally came in the room and said I was "creating a problem and that I could find another dentist if I wanted to". So, I agreed that I should find another dentist who practiced sanitary sterile procedures and who would support my request for clean gloves to touch what would be in my mouth. So, just FYI and be aware!
