      A tree fell on our home on 7/2/22.***********(**)recommended BMS Cat.This began 11/15/23.I was told damage was found to roofplywood(PW) over kitchen.Exact words was"we aren't going to leave something like that so we took care of it.You don't have to worry about it."Invoice showed $39,060.90.We paid $37,854.80.Balance=1,206.10.We reached out.They were unsure what they were charging us for.They stated they spoke to **** & it was not covered.We were baffled.We were not told there was a chance of being charged or that it would not be covered.We did not sign any change order.Agent ******&****(spouse)called the claims office.There was no supplemental.I emailed *****/BMS Cat to see if they could provide an itemized list of this repair.I was denied.He was blunt & said *** agreed to work.He was not told any type of cost est. or a chance this wouldn't be covered.8/12/23 ** disclosed $1206.10 for 6 pieces of PW.This did not add up. Our rear roof length was 62'.The rear left house had damage,** covering 18' 8" of this section.This left 43' 4" of roof.We measured the rot repair on the edge of the roof (attic).New PW was run 40' from the rear left corner towards the rear right corner.It measured 24"w(22 visible/2"past the rafter tails).When measured from the ** covered portion towards the right side, its 21' 4" of length.Rot repair required 1 1/2 sheets of PW not 6.Since BMS won't give us info on the repair/labor so we created fair cost.We took an avg cost of 5/8PW4x8 sheets.The avg cost is $28.60(2 at $57.20).Subcontracted markup is 100%.Total cost of PW$114.40. 1lb box of 2" ext.screws (129) is $9.97.This is on avg 3 screws every 2 ft for rafter spacing.100% markup is$19.94.Total materials&markup=$134.34.Labor costs by sqft/ std for roofing.There is 48sqft repair. Avg roofing rate is $3 per sqft. Total $144.00.$144.00+$134.34=$278.34.That is $1000 difference.This is price gouging.I am willing to pay $278.34.I am honest & fair &expect the same from a *** when we hire them for work.

      We made contact with ******************************* when our air conditioner was leaking through the ceiling. This company bought Mellon Certified Restoration, who did the work on our home after our house fire in March of 2019. We did have an issue and reported it to Mellon in June of 2020. They did nothing but we never had any more problems with the air conditioner. In June of 2022 the air conditioner starting leaking and overflowing into our bedroom and hallway leaving all the paint stained and peeling. We talked with ***** when he came out and he said that we would have to file a new claim with our homeowners because its a new problem but he would send someone out first to make sure. He didn't think the original installer would come out to look at it because they owed them somewhere around $15,000.00. He sent out ****************** who was here on 6/16/2022 they checked it and found no blockage in the drain after blowing CO2 through the lines. Within 24 hours it started leaking again. Again we called ***** and he sent out Centrum again. This time they removed at least 5 gallons of water from drain pain and opened the unit up and added a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe. ***** called a few days later and stated that he had to check with ******* because he had 2 different invoices. He never got back to us, so we contacted him. He did call us back but we were not available so we returned his call and he has not called back. We do not believe this is a new issue. We had our air conditioner in our attic for 18 plus years and never had an issue. When they did the work and installed the new unit they moved it and we are left with a stained and peeling ceiling that we do not feel we should have to file a claim or pay to get fixed.
