    I visit my mother’s grave every week since she passed on Feb 18 of this year. When I visited on September 24, 2022, a new engraving had been put on the base. Since it was not included in the services we signed for the funeral home, I did not know where it came from or who authorized it or paid for it. I was eventually referred to Clicketts Memorials in Union City. I spoke with Thomas C*******, the owner, on Sept 29, 2022. He informed me that my sister authorized the work and requested the second engraving and verbally assured him she had permission to make the decision and also had the permission of my stepfather. Mr C******* stated she wrote down what she decided as an after thought. After I spoke to Mr C*******, he immediately called my sister because they are friends and he is on the Chamber of Commerce Board of which she is the administrator. He had no needed signature from the surviving family members and did not have any contact with any of us, including my mother’s surviving husband. He said ********* *******, my sister, assured him it was all in place and agreed upon, so he completed the work. I have a POA. Mr C******* has no ethics, morals, or legal common sense to not verify this information, and is unprofessional in tattling over the phone because they are friends, and because I work for legal services. He is afraid now and worried for his business.

    The work was completed & Mr. ******** paid the bill!

    Paid for 2 headstones in cash and I haven't seen what I paid for and can't get the business to call me back.
