    Me and a group of women hosted a bridal shower July 2023. The event took place at the in ***********************. Inside the building was nice along with the setup. The caterer was new for the establishment who goes by the name of Custom Catering and Banquets. The receptionist is a great and wonderful person to work with however the owner of Custom Catering leaves much to be desired. The receptionist was flexible and easy to work with. She was very accommodating however the owner was not. He would not agree to a taste test of the food due to it not being a wedding. I was ok with this if they were not new to the establishment. I had been to this establishment for many years and the previous caterer food was good. Since I was not familiar with this caterer food, I felt that a taste test would not be a big ask. Buyer beware if they do not want to do a taste test it is for good reason. The chicken was dry, the roast beef and potatoes were tough and cold. When I called to complain about the food the receptionist stated she had to talk to the owner. She called back and we did a conference call. I addressed my concerns with the owner all he stated was that he has been doing this business for over 35 years with no complaints. No business has No complaints (definitely a "red flag). During the talk I wanted to negotiate a fair price due to 35 women going home hungry. He stated he was only willing to reimburse $1.00 per person. I asked if he was willing to do $2.00 per person and he said no $1.00 is his only offer. Now he did allow for the beer and wine without charging us the alcohol fee, but I would have rather had paid that along with the bartender to have good food. I have been debating about posting a review and I decided to because we MUST DO BETTER we MUST EXPECT BETTER and we MUST DEMAND BETTER. Custom Catering and Banquets, the owner and receptionist I AM REQUESTING, EXPECTING AND DEMANDING that you do BBBETTER!
