Monday Oct 23rd I went to Flooring Options by Erika. I ordered flooring and used my charge card. A charge of $2,180 was put on my Chase Visa. While there I was told a couple different prices and they decided to go with the higher price. Tuesday Oct 24th I called to cancel my order. During this call I was informed they would not refund 100%. They couldn't refund the 3% transaction fee of $65. I was not told this prior to using my card, nor is it on my receipt. The receipt states Cancellation less than 48 prior to install will be charged $75. Also the date on my receipt is incorrect, it is dated 10/25/2023. My card statement shows the 23rd as the transaction date. As of today 10/26/2023 the flooring company has not yet refunded my card. I would like to have a 100% refund . I am extremely disappointed in how this company is dealing with my situation.

On Oct 23 the customer came in to set up her flooring purchase and installation. She was given 2 different prices for different grades of carpet. The customer was asked which one she would like and she specifically chose the higher priced option. A charge was put through for $2180 which was approved by the customer and she was given a receipt marked paid in full for the amount agreed upon. On Oct. 24 the customer called to cancel her carpet order because she simply changed her mind after discovering hardwood floors under the carpet and decided to have her them refinished in lieu of purchasing carpeting. Even though the cancellation was not a result of any wrongdoing on our end, we decided to waive any re-stock fee as a courtesy, however, the customer was informed that Flooring Options had paid a 3% non-refundable transaction fee of $65 to the credit card company upon putting the charge through, therefore it could not be refunded. After approving the refund through management, the entire charge was reversed in full, including the 3% fee which Flooring Options by Erika paid as a courtesy to the customer.  We do believe after reading the customer's statement that there is a typo in respect to “they decided to go with the higher price”.. we feel this was most likely intended to read “then decided to go with the higher price”. Flooring Options staff would never choose a pricing option for a customer, they must choose which option to buy in order to complete the purchase. Ms. ***** decided to choose the higher priced option to receive the higher quality carpet choice, informed the sales associate of her choice and approved the charge of $2180. She was immediately given an invoice stating the amount agreed upon was paid in full, a list of services and products purchased, and the date of installation. We sincerely apologize the approval for refund for the entire original amount took longer than she expected. Please see the attached refund receipt from Worldpay Credit Services. Thank you for your time.
