Saturday 9/28 10:30am I drove to work, parking in the *********************************** lot that I use as a **** employee with a parking lease. At ~7pm my car was gone. I called 911 to report it stolen but a man from the adjacent business said it'd probably been towed, walked me to the sign nailed to a tree on the far side of the lot . I called ************, spoke to *** who said he'd towed because the permit wasnt visible (sheet of paper on the dashboard was turned over). Said I couldnt get my car that day but hed call me at 8am. Sunday 9/29 did not receive call so ~10am called *** at number from my caller ID, ************. After exchanging messages we connected ~12p, planned Id call when able to drive over and hed text me the address, said I had to bring $275 in cash; at 1:39pm *******************************. Around 2pm at that address I told *** I would need a receipt for the payment. He said he couldnt give one because the office wasnt open and he couldnt get into the computer. I asked to speak to his boss. He became upset, yelled that his son owned the business and he wouldnt steal from my own son. I repeated I needed a receipt to prove that I paid. He said his son and wife were in *******, wouldnt be flying out until 8pm and wouldnt come to let my car out tonight. If I wanted a receipt I'd have to come back Monday but Id be charged another $25 for storage.Eventually he said that if I gave him my email address hed have the office email me a receipt. At 2:15pm I texted my email address along with the phrase for receipt of $275 to *** on 9/29/2024, gave him the money and left with my car.Monday 9/30 I called ~6pm asking about the receipt, was told his son hadn't been into the office that day due to flying in late but one would be sent Tuesday. ~11am today 10/1 I left message at number from RJ Towing sign with my number and work email address requesting a call and receipt. As of 8:30pm today I have not been contacted, no receipt received.
