Incident began in 05/24, between my 93 y/o mother, *******************, and ******************* of Seal Rite Asphalt Sealing, ***************** ******************************************* (address on old business card). Business license #PA ******. ************ stopped by my mothers home to inquire about if she would like to have her asphalt driveway re-sealed and cracks filled. My mother was interested in having this done as it was completed four years prior by ************ and his father, *********************. ************ returned on 05/29, for initial down payment of $350, paid in cash by my mother, the remaining $900 was to be paid upon completion of the job. A receipt was provided. ************ was to return in 07/24 to complete work. ************ showed up in late 07/24 to tell my mother he hurt his foot, was set back two weeks and would start the job in 08/24. On the evening of 08/09, ************ stopped by my mothers home requesting an additional $320 to order more materials for the job. My mother requested he return the following morning when I would be there. On the morning of 08/10, myself and my wife, *****************************, went to my mothers home to meet ************. He explained his miscalculation of costs and was going to order materials. ************ advised the job would take two days and he would start on 08/19, weather permitting. My mother wrote a check for $320 and was provided a receipt. Total paid to this point was $670. On 08/19, ************ did not show up. My mother called him that afternoon, he advised that he was not sure if it was going to rain or not so he did not want to start that day. The weather forecast did not call for any rain for the entire week of 08/19. Several phone calls were made by my mother and myself to ************ between 08/20 and 08/22. ************ has stopped returning phone calls, has not come to start the job, or has not returned requested monies paid to date if he is not going to complete the job. At this point a full refund of $670 is all that is being requested from ************.

I suspect this business is committing tax fraud. they only take cash or check payments. in the summer 2023 we paid him in total by check $700 and he came out a sprayed our driveway with sealant. He came back around in July 2024 selling services again. I paid him $270 through ****** on July 28th 2024 for a job he has still not completed. After 18 days, I asked for a refund and he has not responded to me.
