I just received notice for an unpaid bill from 4 years ago. I have not been able to get thru to the lab to discuss and the statute of limitations in ******* is 4 years. I am sending letter back to attorney and the lab asking when they have directly contacted my daughter for the correct insurance to be billed. I work in the medical billing field and if you have a bill this old, and you failed as a provider to reach out to the patient directly, this would be adjusted.

This company sent a threatening letter claiming to be from the company's lawyer David G********* out of Missouri City, Texas. The letter claims that I have an unpaid bill from 01/18/2021 and is threatening to send me to collections or affect my credit score (which is currently above 830!). The letter clearly states that the company would rather resolve this matter on an amicable basis but will take me to court if unpaid. I received the letter on 7/17/23 and have called them 8 times, different days, at the number listed; which is never answered. I left a voicemail each time indicating my phone number and desire to speak to someone in their office. I've also contacted the law office of David G********* twice and left messages there as well with no call backs to date (today is 7/28/23). Furthermore, I've never received a bill from Genesis Diagnostics as I always pay in office the day of any service. With a credit score in the 800's, I don't make it a habit to not pay my bills, therefore, if I had received a bill, I would have taken care of it. In addition, in the state of Texas, Senate Bill 1264 states that I am no longer required to pay a medical back debt if there has not been a bill or notice sent within 11 months of the date of service. So, I will not be paying any bill to this company, and highly recommend anyone else who receives this type of letter to research the laws of your state before sending money off to a company that can't be bothered to answer the phone! If this company, or their lawyer, take any action against my credit report, I will hire my own attorney to countersuit.

Not only did this company run bloodwork from my doctor incorrectly as toxicology when it was standard primary care visit, but I was caught up in a long debate with them with my doctor. Including me receiving a threatening letter demanding payment, similar to what others described. At the start of 2020, I gave up the fight and decided to pay to be left alone. Well, I am STILL receiving bills for the same service and the provided phone number, and subsequent phone number I am directed to don't work. At worst this lab is very, very scammy and at best they are a disorganized mess.
