I have recently had Dry Tech do work on my wet basement. They were to shore up the foundation and put a French drain in. I already had a French Drain but they said their's would be installed lower and alleviate any problem with water coming through the concrete floor. In the process they removed a concrete sink I never wanted to be removed and charged me extra to replace it. The week after they finished water was coming through a wall where it never had before then. They came out and put in a vapor barrier, which does keep the humidity down but does not stop the leak. The following week it was leaking thru another wall. I had NEVER seen water coming through either of those walls before. They put another vapor barrier on the second wall. A few weeks later water starter coming through the other 2 walls. Mind you ...when they sold this system to me they told me there was a lifetime warranty as long as the house was standing. I spent a huge amount for me, $22,000 in all. When I called them the third time they said thete was nothing they could do. They basically said water is just like that. Huh?! I am so disappointed. They basically ignored my first two calls and on the third call they said they could come out and put 2 more vapor barriers on the the other 2 walls for $2700, which they said was a "discounted price". I was in shock. I told them I didn't want to give them ANY more money. I want it fixed. The places where the leaks are now never leaked before. I sent them photos of all the leaks. A reputable company would stand by their work and their word. I am a retired disabled 66 year old who feels severely taken advantage of. I think all the cracks should be properly repaired and then the vapor barrier placed on all FOUR walls. I do not relish the idea of taking them to court but will do that if the situation isn't properly rectified. This company is the most disreputable I've ever dealt with. How they got an A+ BBB rating is beyond my comprehension.

Prior to the installation of the waterproofing system, our inspectors submitted pictures of the condition of the basement. In the pictures you can see obvious cracks throughout the wall and streaking water marks from the water penetration. Our inspectors recommended vapor barrier on the walls for these reasons. That service was declined. Upon starting the project, we found that the house did not have proper structural support. Being as ************* stated that she did not have the money for the system and the structural repairs, we decided to reduce the price drastically. After the installation of both the system and the structural repairs, ************* contacted us about water on one wall. We applied the vapor barrier that was originally declined on the wet wall at no cost. When the next heavier storm came through, the basement had water coming through the cracks in the wall in other parts of the basement. We offered to install the vapor barrier at a reduced priced again so to help the customer. ************* declined that offer and decided to contact the BBB. At that point I was instructed to contact the customer to offer the vapor barrier at no cost. ************* at that point raised her voice, screaming that she did not want us back in the house and wanted at least half of her money back. I informed her that that was not an option and she abruptly hung up on me.

In October 2018, I hired this company to waterproof my basement. I was having problems on my home with water getting into my basement causing floods and mold buildup. They came out and sold me on multiple services which included installation of a French drain system, mold remediation, installing pins into the wall to repair a large crack and patching the walls from leaks. I paid a total of $14,000 and still am paying off a loan I had to take. In the last three years, I’ve had to call them out about three times for water still getting into my basement!!! They go down there and claim they corrected the problem. I think the one time they just put cement on the wall. When it rains, water just leaks right out the wall. It’s even gotten worse than before. Mold has grown again, causing my asthma to flair up. Renovation supplies have gotten ruined that I had stored down there. I refuse to keep paying this loan off for a service that was either not done properly or is just failing. I’ve had two contractors come out and tell me that my basement walls were never done right and I now have to pay again to get this problem taken care of the right way along with the mold removal before my family winds up in the hospital! I want my money refunded so that I can hire a new company to redo my basement correctly. I no longer desire any help from Dry Tech.

This is not Drytech Restoration Services, LLC. We do not waterproof basements or homes.  We do water damage clean ups and deal primarily with insurance companies.

There is a Drytech Waterproofimg Company…but that is not our company. They are based out of Phoenixville, Pa.

I need this removed from our BBB listing as this in not our company.  I will follow up with you tomorrow.  There is a mistake and I can not afford any negative reviews - especially when we didn’t do this worl.

    Thank you for your time.

In response to ******************* complaint, Dry Tech Waterproofing Solutions was never contracted to provide any work to properly address the walls. Her contract specifically states that we will control water pen. at the cove joint, where the wall and floor meet. The only work that Dry Tech was contracted to preform on the walls was wall pins, which is installed for structural support. As a courtesy Dry Tech applied hydraulic cement to the large crack in the wall to help prevent water seepage. *******************'s last contact with our company came after Hurricane Ida in September of 2021 when her window wells filled up with water. Dry Tech went out and tested the pumps, checked the system, and reapplied hydraulic cement to the crack. If ***. *******'s would like us to come out and recommend a solution for the walls, we would be more than happy to do so.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: the business contradicted themselves within their response to say I never contacted them in regards to the walls. My last contact was indeed in September 2021 because I no longer desire to work with this company especially after two other waterproofing companies coming out and stating that my basement was not properly waterproofed and I will need to pay another $15000-$20000 to properly get that work done!!! I find Dry Tech to be unprofessional and full of sales schemes! They sold me a good picture and proceeded to send a group of underpaid ******* men to do a mediocre job! If my request is not granted, I will be forced to post my very negative review on here, ******* **** and anywhere I can post a review on!

    Regards,
