The company said they came out to my property on 6/27/2023 to perform backflow testing. I did not request their business to come out; I did not receive advance warning, and I did not consent to an "automatic servicing" of my back flow system even though I had used them the previous year. This is a very shady practice!

    Business Response

I understand my customers complaint.    In this business, we have anywhere from 500 to 800 small jobs (customers) a month. The backflow test we perform at the residence is a requirement by the city.   Alot of our customers are on an Automatic Return because they don't want the hassle of calling around each year.   Sometimes when a customer moves from their residence they don't let me know.  Therefor, I still have them in my database as an "Automatic Return Customer" I will put them on a route for the test not knowing there is a new resident there.  most often the new resident will call us and have us put their new info in the file for their address and they will pay for the test knowing that it is a requirement from the city.  If they have already had it tested by another company, I simply don't charge them for the test and give them their options for next year.   Each one of these 500 to 800 tests a month are only a matter of $38.00 each.  I take pride in our customers, and will always do what I need to ..to make them happy and to understand the process of the backflow testing each year.

    Sincerely,
