Fri, Jun 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM, I was attempting to make reservations for two rooms at the *** By Hilton hotel in Tahlequah Arkansas in order to attend the funeral of my father. I was somewhat distraught at the time.I attempted to book two rooms for the nights of June 21 and 22 through Booking.com. Initially I was advised that the rooms were available, but when I attempted to confirm the reservation I was informed that there was no vacancy. I was advised by the website to "try again."I did that by clicking an icon and was informed that the rooms were now available. I did not realize that the website had changed the dates to June14-16 until I received the receipt. I immediately cancelled the reservation through Booking.com. The reservation was in effect for only three (3) minutes total.Confirmation number was: ********** and ********** Despite having cancelled within 3 minutes I was charged for a "no show."Booking.com has attempted to contact the hotel repeatedly. I have also attempted to contact the hotel. All attempts have been ignored.I believe that such erroneous credit card transactions are subject to a 24-hour "cooling off period" according to FTC regulations. The hotel was in no way inconvenienced by this mistake and I want the charges reversed.
