I started therapy with ****** **** in September 2022. We had 4-5 biweekly telehealth sessions up until the end of November 2022. On December 6th, 2022, ****** messaged me asking if we could reschedule our session that was supposed to take place that morning. We rescheduled for the following morning on December 7th. ****** was the one who began our calls, so I waited patiently for our session the next morning, but she never called. She did not message me about delaying or rescheduling and due to my anxiety, I did not reach out to her because I assumed she would eventually get in contact with me. I have not received a single message, email, or any other form of contact from ****** since December 6th. On December 28th, 2022, I received an invoice from Commitment To Hope for $288. I am not comfortable with paying a therapist who essentially wasted my time, as we didn't get very far in the few sessions we've had, and I'm definitely not comfortable paying a therapist who ghosted me. I would like this bill to be adjusted to $0, I believe my insurance coverage should be more than enough. I would also like this office to cease contact as I am now in the process of searching for a new therapist.

RECEIVED VIA EMAIL BY BBB STAFF MEMBER:

Commitment to Hope would like to thank the client for bringing this matter to our attention. We would like to apologize  for any inconvenience or frustration caused by this problem. We invite you to contact Commitment to Hope at 440 799-7559 if you have further questions or concerns.

Accordingly to our records there were six therapeutic counseling sessions provided to client by Ms. ****** ****. A payment was never generated for these services. The insurance card given by client to pay for services expired 8/31/22. The $288.00 bill was due to the initial psycho assessment.

We have correspondence indicating that Ms. ****** **** at 6:48 am informed client that she would not be available at their scheduled therapist session. Therapist offered to meet with client either later that day or the next morning. Client corresponded back with therapist prior to their scheduled appointment stating "Tomorrow morning would be a bit better." On Dec. 7th therapists called client for the session and client did not answer the call. Therapist attempted to contact client on another day and and client did not respond.  Client was scheduled to be discharged after 30 days due to non compliancy. Client prior indicated that she did not feel much had been accomplished in therapy. *** **** informed client that additional counseling sessions were needed to address past trauma. Commitment to hope would be willing to adjust client bill, however our billing department has indicated that client owes $1418.00. Commitment to Hope would like to ascertain if client has another insurance or can work out a payment plan. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
